दशमी दशा
यावच्छेणिकस्यराज्ञ एनमर्थं प्रियं निवेदयत प्रियं युष्माकं भवतु एवं द्विवारं त्रिवारमपि वदित्वा यावद् यस्या दिशः प्रादुर्भूता तामेव दिशं प्रतिगताः ।
पदार्थान्वयः-ततो णं-तदनु ते-वे कोडुंबिय-पुरिसा-राज-कर्मचारी लोग सेणिएणं-श्रेणिक रन्ना-राजा भंभसारेणं-भंभसार के द्वारा एवं-इस प्रकार वुत्ता समाणा-कहे जाने पर जाव-यावत् हियया-हृदय से हट्टतुट्ठ-हृष्ट और तुष्ट होकर जाव-यावत् सामीति-हे स्वामिन् ! एवं-इस प्रकार ही होगा यह कहकर आणाए-आज्ञा को विणएणं-विनय से पडिसुणेति-अंगीकार करते हैं पडिसुणेइत्ता-और अंगीकार कर एवं-इस प्रकार ते-वे पुरुष सेणियस्स-श्रेणिक रन्नो-राजा के अंतिकाओ-समीप से पडिनिक्खमंति-चले जाते हैं और पडिनिक्खमइत्ता-जाकर रायगिह-नयरं-राजगृह नगर के मज्झं-मज्झेण-बीचों-बीच निग्गच्छंति-निकलते हैं और निकल कर जाई-जो इमाइं-ये स्थान भवंति-हैं जैसे-रायगिहस्स-राजगृह नगर के बहिया-बाहर आरामाणि वा-आराम हैं अथवा जाव-यावत् जे-जो तत्थ-वहां महत्तरगा-अधिकारी लोग अण्णया-आज्ञा-कर चिटुंति-स्थित हैं ते-उनको वे पुरुष एवं वयंति-इस प्रकार कहते हैं जाव-यावत् सेणियस्स-श्रेणिक रन्नो-राजा से एयं-इस पियं-प्रिय अटुं-समाचार को निवेदेज्जा-निवेदन करो पियं-प्रिय भवतु-हो इस प्रकार दोच्वंपि-दो बार तच्चंपि-तीन बार एवं-इस प्रकार वदन्ति-रत्ता-कहा और कहकर जाव-यावत् जामेव दिसं-जिस दिशा से पाउड्भूया-प्रकट हुए थे तामेव-उसी दिसं-दिशा को पडिगया-चले गये।
मूलार्थ-इस के अनन्तर श्रेणिक राजा भंभसार के वचनों को सुनकर 'हे स्वामिन् ! ऐसा ही होगा' कहकर राज-पुरुषों ने विनय से राजा की आज्ञा सुनी । आज्ञा को शिरोधार्य कर वे राजा के पास से चले गये । वहां से निकल कर राजगृह नगर के बीचों-बीच गये । वहां से नगर के बाहर जितने भी आराम आदि थे उसमें जितने भी कर्मचारी आज्ञा-कर कार्य कर रहे थे उनसे इस प्रकार कहने लगे कि (भगवान् के आगमनरूप) इस प्रिय समाचार को (भगवान् के आते ही) श्रेणिक. राजा से निवेदन करो, तुम्हारा प्रिय हो । इस प्रकार दो-तीन बार कह कर वे लोग जिस दिशा से आये थे उसी दिशा में चले गये ।
