झूठे की कलई खुल जाती है तो वह जनता की दृष्टि में गिर जाता है जो उसके लिए स्वभावतः अहित-कर है । मान लिया कि कुछ समय के लिए लोग उसका विश्वास भी कर लें किन्तु आखिर कितने क्षण के लिए । पदार्थों की स्थिति सत्य में ही रह सकती है, असत्य में नहीं ।
अब सूत्रकार फिर उक्त विषय में ही कहते हैं :अप्पणो अहिए बाले माया-मोसं बहुं भसे । इत्थी-विसय-गेहीए महामोहं पकुव्वइ ।।१२।। आत्मनोऽहितो बालो माया-मृषे बहु भाषते । स्त्री-विषय-गृद्धो महामोहं प्रकुरुते ।।१२।।
पदार्थान्वयः-अप्पणो अपनी आत्मा का अहिए-अहित करने वाला बाले-अज्ञानी बहुं-बहुत माया-मोसं-मायायुक्त मृषावाद (झूठ) भसे-बोलता है और इत्थी-विसय-गेहीए-स्त्री-विषयक सुखों में लोलुप रहने से महामोह-महा-मोहनीय कर्म का पकुव्वइ-उपार्जन करता है । _मूलार्थ-अपनी आत्मा का अहित करने वाला अज्ञानी पुरुष माया पूर्वक मृषावाद (झूठ) बहुत बोलता है और स्त्री-विषयक सुखों में लोलुप रहने से महा-मोहनीय कर्म की उपार्जना करता है ।
टीका-इस सूत्र में पूर्वोक्त सूत्र के विषय का उपसंहार किया. गया है । वह गदहे के समान कर्ण-कटु नाद करने वाला अज्ञानी अपनी आत्मा का अहित करने वाला होता है और वह प्रायः मायायुक्त झूठी बातें बनाने में ही अपना गौरव समझता है तथा सदैव स्त्री-विषयक सुखों में लिप्त और उनके लिए लालायित रहता है । किन्तु उस मूर्ख को इतना ध्यान नहीं आता कि ये सब कर्म मुझको अज्ञान-अन्धकार में धकेल रहे हैं और महा-मोहनीय कर्म के उपार्जन में सहायक हो रहे हैं । सारांश इतना ही है कि जब कोई व्यक्ति किसी प्रकार का गुप्त पाप एक बार कर देता है तो उसको छिपाने के लिए उसको अनेक और पाप करने पड़ते हैं । अतः सब को ऐसे पाप-कर्मों से बचने के लिए प्रयत्नशील रहना चाहिए ।
