वह महा-मोहनीय कर्म के बन्धन में आ जाता है । सारांश यह है कि दोषों को सेवन करने वाला, माया को माया से आच्छादन करने वाला, असत्य बोलने वाला तथा सूत्रार्थ । के अपलाप करने वाला कदापि महा-मोहनीय कर्म के बन्धन से नहीं छूट सकता ।
'मायां मायया छादयेत्' का वृत्तिकार निम्नलिखित अर्थ करते हैं :
“मायां-परकीयां मायां स्वकीयया छादयेत्-जयेत् । यथा शकुनि-मारकाश्छदैरात्मानमावृत्य शकुनीन् गृण्हन्तः स्वकीयया मायया शकुनि-मायां छादयन्ति” अर्थात् जो व्यक्ति जाल आदि से पक्षियों को अथवा मछली आदि जीवों को पकड़ता है ।
अब सूत्रकार आठवें स्थान का विषय वर्णन करते हैं :धंसेइ जो अभूएणं अकम्मं अत्त-कम्मुणा । अदुवा तुमकासित्ति महामोहं पकुव्वइ ।।८।। ध्वंसयति योऽभूतेनाकर्माणमात्म-कर्मणा । अथवा त्वमकार्षीः इति महामोहं प्रकुरुते ||८||
पदार्थान्वयः-जो-जो व्यक्ति अकम्म-जिसने दुष्ट कर्म नहीं किया उसको अभूएणं-असत्य आक्षेप से अथवा अत्त-कम्मुणा-अपने किये हुए पाप कर्म से धंसेइ-कलङ्कित करता है अदुवा-अथवा तुमकासि-तूने यह कर्म किया है ति-इस प्रकार कहता है वह महामोह-महा-मोहनीय कर्म की पकुव्वइ-उपार्जना करता है ।
मूलार्थ-जो व्यक्ति जिसने दुष्ट कर्म नहीं किया उसको असत्य आक्षेप से और अपने किये हुए पापों से ही कलकित करता है अथवा तूने ही ऐसा किया इस प्रकार दूसरों पर दोषारोपण करता है वह महा-मोहनीय कर्म की उपार्जना करता है । ____टीका-इस सूत्र में दूसरों पर असत्य दोष के आरोपण करने से उत्पन्न होने वाले महा-मोहनीय कर्म का वर्णन किया गया है । जो व्यक्ति असत्य आक्षेप से, जिसने कुकर्म नहीं किया उसको कलङ्कित करता है और अपने किये हुए ऋषिघात आदि दुष्कर्मों को दूसरे के मत्थे मढ़ता है वह महा-मोहनीय कर्म के बन्धन में आ जाता है । ऐसे
