अत्युत्कट अशुभ आचरण वाला महा-मोहनीय कर्म की उपार्जना करता
टीका-इस सूत्र में भी त्रस प्राणियों की हिंसा से उत्पन्न होने वाले महा-मोहनीय कर्म का ही वर्णन किया गया है । जो कोई दुष्ट व्यक्ति किसी स्त्री आदि के मस्तक पर गीला चमड़ा बांध दे और उसको धूप में खड़ा कर कष्ट देकर मार डाले वह महा-मोहनीय कर्म के बन्धन में आ जाता है । क्योंकि यह एक अत्यन्त अशुभ कार्य है । इसको करते हुए उसके चित्त में हिंसा के अध्यवसायों (उपायों) की उत्पत्ति होती है और उसके चित्त में अत्यन्त निर्दयता के भाव उत्पन्न हो जाते हैं । इस प्रकार की अन्य क्रियाओं के करने से भी महा-मोहनीय कर्म का बन्धन होता है यह उपलक्षण से जान लेना चाहिए । ये सब महा-मोहनीय कर्मों के स्थान अनर्थ-दण्ड और अन्याय पूर्वक बर्ताव के सिद्ध करने वाले हैं । अतः प्रत्येक को अनर्थ-दण्ड और अन्याय का त्याग करना चाहिए । “समवायाङ्ग सूत्र' में यह द्वितीय स्थान माना गया है । 'अब सूत्रकार छठे स्थान का विषय कहते हैं :पुणो पुणो पणिहिए हणित्ता उवहसे जणं । फलेणं अदुव दंडेणं महामोहं पकुव्वइ ।।६।। पुनः पुनः प्राणिधिना हत्वोपहसेज्जनम् । फलेनाथवा दण्डेन महामोहं प्रकुरुते ।।६।।
पदार्थान्वयः-पुणो पुणो-बार २ पणिहिए-छल से जो किसी प्राणी को फलेणं-फल से अदुव-अथवा दंडेणं-दण्ड से जणं-मूर्ख जन को हणित्ता-मार कर उवहसे-हंसता है वह महामोह-महामोहनीय कर्म की पकुव्वइ-उपार्जना करता है ।
मूलार्थ-बार-बार छल से जो किसी मूर्ख जन को फल या डण्डे से मारता और हंसता है वह महामोहनीय कर्म के बन्धन में आ जाता है ।
टीका-इस सूत्र में भी त्रस-काय-हिंसा-जनित महा-मोहनीय कर्म का वर्णन किया गया है । जो कोई धूर्त छल से नाना प्रकार के वेष धारण कर मार्ग में चलने वाले पथिकों को धोखा देकर किसी शून्य स्थान पर ले जाकर उनको फल (भाले) अथवा दण्ड

**Commentary:** This sutra also describes the **maha-mohaniya karma** arising from violence against living beings. A wicked person who ties wet leather on the head of a woman or another being, makes them stand in the sun, and inflicts pain to kill them, becomes bound by **maha-mohaniya karma**. This is because it is an extremely inauspicious act. While doing this, thoughts of violence arise in their mind, and feelings of extreme cruelty develop. It should be understood that engaging in other similar actions also leads to the bondage of **maha-mohaniya karma**. All these **maha-mohaniya karmas** are indicative of causing harm, punishment, and unjust treatment. Therefore, everyone should abandon harm, punishment, and injustice. In the "Samavayanga Sutra," this is considered the second place.
