बोलित्ता-डुबाने वाला भवति-होता है उसिणोदय-वियडेण-उष्ण और विशाल जल से कायं-शरीर को सिंचित्ता-सिञ्चन कराने वाला भवति-होता है अगणि-काएण-अग्नि-काय द्वारा कायं-शरीर को उड्डहित्ता-जलाने वाला भवति-होता है वा-अथवा जोत्तेण-योक्त्र से वा-अथवा वेत्तेण-वेत से नेत्तेण-नेत्र से वा-अथवा कसेण-चाबुक से वा-अथवा छिवाडीए-लघु चाबुक से वा-अथवा लयाए-लता से पासाइं-पार्श्व भागों की उद्दालित्ता-चमड़ी उतारने वाला भवति-होता है । वा-अथवा दंडेण-दण्ड से वा–अथवा अट्ठीण-अस्थियों से वा-अथवा मुट्ठीण-मुष्टि से वा–अथवा लेलुएण-ककड़ों (छोटे-छोटे पत्थरों) से वा-अथवा कवालेण-कपाल (घड़े आदि के ठीकरे) से कायं-शरीर को आउद्वित्ता-जान कर पीडा कराने वाला भवति-होता है तहप्पगारे-इस प्रकार के पुरिस-जाए-पुरुष-जात के संवसमाणे-समीप वसते हुए दुम्मणा भवंति-दुर्मन होते हैं तहप्पगारे-इस प्रकार के पुरिस-जाए-पुरुष-जात के विप्पवसमाणे-दूर रहने पर सुमणा भवंति–प्रसन्नचित्त होते हैं ।।
मूलार्थ-नास्तिक कहता है कि इनको शीतल जल में डुबा दो, इनके शरीर पर उष्ण जल का सिञ्चन करो, इनको अग्निकाय से जला दो, इनके पार्श्व भागों की योक्त्र से, वेत से, नेत्राकार शस्त्र विशेष से, चाबक से, लघु चाबुक से चमड़ी उधेड़ डालो, अथवा दण्ड से, कूर्पर (कोहिनी) से, मुष्टि से, ठीकरों से इनके शरीर को पीड़ित करो । इस प्रकार के पुरुष के समीप रहने पर लोग दुःखित होते हैं, किन्तु इस प्रकार के पुरुष के पृथक् होने पर प्रसन्न-चित्त होते हैं ।
टीका-इस सूत्र में वर्णन किया गया है कि नास्तिक आभ्यन्तरी परिषद के छोटे अपराध भी निम्नलिखित कठोर से कठोर दण्ड देने के लिए प्रस्तुत रहता है । जैसे-शीतकाल में वह आज्ञा देता है कि अपराधी को अत्यन्त शीत और विशाल जल में डुबा दो और ग्रीष्म ऋतु में वह कहता है कि इसके शरीर पर अत्यन्त उष्ण जल का सिञ्चन करो अथवा तप्त-लोह-गोल से इसके शरीर को दग्ध करो । अग्निकाय से इसको जला दो । योक्त्र से, वेत से, लता से, नेत्र (जलवेण्ड) से, कशा से, लघुकशा (छोटे चाबुक) से इसके पार्श्व भागों की चमड़ी उधेड़ डालो (पार्श्व-त्वगादीनामपनाययिता भवति) तथा लकुट (लकड़ी) से, कूर्पर (कोहनी) से, मुष्टि से, लेष्टु (पत्थर) से, अथवा कपाल (ठीकरे) से
