मूलार्थ-हे आयुष्मन् शिष्य ! मैंने सुना है उस भगवन् ने इस प्रकार प्रतिपादन किया है, इस जिन-शासन में स्थविर भगवन्तों ने एकादश उपासक-प्रतिमाएं प्रतिपादन की हैं । शिष्य ने प्रश्न किया हे भगवन् ! कौन सी वे स्थविर भगवन्तों ने एकादश उपासक-प्रतिमाएं प्रतिपादन की हैं ? गुरू उत्तर देते हैं कि वक्ष्यमाण एकादश उपासक-प्रतिमाएं स्थविर भगवन्तों ने प्रतिपादन की हैं, जैसे:
टीका-इस सूत्र में पूर्वोक्त दशाओं के प्रारम्भिक सूत्रों के समान श्री सुधा और उनके शिष्य श्री जम्बू स्वामी के प्रश्नोत्तर रूप में प्रदिपादन किया गया है कि उपासक की एकादश प्रतिमाएं होती है । शेष वर्णन पूर्ववत् ही है ।
ये एकादश प्रतिमाएं उपासकों को समाधि की ओर ले जाती हैं, अतः सर्वथा ग्रहण करने के योग्य हैं । इनके द्वारा जैन वानप्रस्थ की क्रियाएं भली भांति साधन की जा सकती हैं ।
अब सूत्रकार दशा का विषय आरम्भ करते हुए सबसे पहिले दर्शन-प्रतिमा का विषय वर्णन करते हैं, क्योंकि इसके होने से शेष प्रतिमाएं सहज में ही साधन की जा सकती हैं:___अकिरिय-वाई यावि भवइ, नाहिय-वाई, नाहिय-पण्णे, नाहिय-दिट्टी, णो सम्मवाई, णो णितिया-वाई, णसंति परलोगवाई, णत्थि इहलोए, णत्थि परलोए, णत्थि माया, णत्थि पिया, णत्थि अरिहंता, णत्थि चक्कवट्टी, णत्थि बलदेवा, णत्थि वासुदेवा, णत्थि णिरया, णत्थि णेरइया, णत्थि सुक्कड-दुक्डाणं फल-वित्ति-विसेसो, णो सुच्चिण्णा कम्मा सुच्चिण्णा फला भवंति, णो दुच्चिण्णा कम्मा दुच्चिण्णा फला भवंति अफले कल्लाण पावए, णो पच्चायति जीवा, णत्थि णिरया, णत्थि सिद्धा, से एवं वादी एवं-पण्णे एवं-दिट्ठी एवं-छंद-राग-मती-णिविटे यावि भवइ ।
