मूलार्थ - आर्यो ! श्रमण भगवान् महावीर स्वामी श्रमण निर्ग्रन्थ और निर्ग्रन्थियों को आमन्त्रित कर कहने लगे "हे आर्यो ! निर्ग्रन्थ और निर्ग्रन्थियों को, जो ईर्या-समिति वाले, भाषा समिति वाले, एषणा-समिति वाले, आदान- भाण्ड -मात्र- निक्षेपणा समिति वाले, उच्चार-प्रश्रवण- थूक - नाक का मल, प्रस्वेद-मल की परिष्ठापना समिति वाले, मन-समिति वाले, वाक्समिति वाले तथा काय समिति वाले
टीका- अब प्रस्तुत दशा के विषय की ओर प्रमुख होते हुए सूत्रकार कहते हैं कि जब धर्मोपदेश हो चुका तब श्रवण भगवान् श्री महावीर स्वामी स्वयं श्रमण निर्ग्रन्थ और निर्ग्रन्थियों को आमन्त्रित कर कहने लगे "हे आर्यो ! जिन्होंने बाह्य और आभ्यन्तर परिग्रह छोड़ दिया है, जो परिषहों के सहने वाले हैं, प्रमाणपूर्वक भूमि देखकर गमन करने वाले हैं, ४२ दोषों का परित्याग कर भिक्षा लेने वाले अर्थात् एषणा गवेषणा द्वारा ही भिक्षा ग्रहण करने वाले हैं, सावद्य (दोष- युक्त) वाणी को छोड़ कर निरवद्य (निर्दोष) और मधुर वाणी बोलने वाले हैं, भाण्डोपकरण तथा वस्त्रादि को ग्रहण और निक्षेप (रखने) करने वाले हैं, पुरीष, प्रश्रवण और मुख, नाक तथा प्रस्वेद मल की यत्नपूर्वक परिष्ठापना करने वाले हैं और - (दूसरे सूत्र के साथ अन्वय है) ।
इस सूत्र में सम्पूर्ण षष्ठ्यन्त विशेषणों का सम्बन्ध कुशल - मन- प्रवर्तक और . कुशल-वाक् बोलने वाले मुनिवरों से ही है । उक्त गुणों से युक्त व्यक्ति ही समाध पात्र होता है ।
पंचमी दशा
वक्ष्यमाण सूत्र का पूर्व सूत्र से ही अन्वय है: -

Those who have abandoned external and internal possessions, who are tolerant of hardships, who walk after seeing the ground with proof, who take alms after abandoning 42 faults, i.e., those who take alms only through Eshana-Gaveshana, who speak pure and sweet words after abandoning Savadya (faulty) speech, who take and keep Bhand-Upakaran and clothes, etc., who carefully perform the Paristhapana of Purish, Prashravan, and the mouth, nose, and sweat excretions, and - (the connection is with the next Sutra).
In this Sutra, the connection of all the Shashthyanta Visheshans is only with the Muni-Vars who are skilled in mind-motivation and skilled in speaking. Only a person with these qualities is eligible for Samadhi.
