कर "इति ब्रवीमि" यहां तक उन आशातनाओं का विस्तृत वर्णन शिष्य को सुना दिया ।

यहां पर यह कह देना आवश्यक है कि आशातनाओं का ज्ञान होने पर इनका प्रत्याख्यान द्वारा प्रत्याख्यान भी किया जा सकता है, क्योंकि यह बात सुविदित है कि ज्ञान होने पर ही हेय, ज्ञेय और उपादेय रूप पदार्थों का बोध हो सकता है । इसलिए इन आशातनाओं का परिणाम भली भांति जानकर इनका परित्याग करना चाहिए ।
इस प्रकार श्री सुधर्मा स्वामी जी अपने शिष्य श्री जम्बू स्वामी के प्रति कहते हैं "हे जम्बू स्वामिन् ! जिस प्रकार मैंने श्रमण भगवान् श्री महावीर स्वामी से इस दशा का अर्थ श्रवण किया है, उसी प्रकार तूमको सुना दिया है, किन्तु अपनी बुद्धि से मैंने कुछ भी नहीं कहा ।
