द्वितीया दशा
नाम से प्रकाशित कर दिया हो ? समाधान में कहा जाता है कि भगवान् के कथन में अलौकिक शक्ति होती है, यह युक्ति-संगत और बुद्धि-ग्राह्य होता है और इतना ही नहीं किन्तु दोनों लोकों के लिए हितकारी भी होता है । प्रस्तुत दशा में ये सब गुण मिलते हैं अतः इस में कोई सन्देह नहीं कि यह कथन भगवान् का ही है । अपना शुभ चाहने वालों को इसका अध्ययन आदर और श्रद्धा से करना चाहिए ।
अब सूत्रकार प्रस्तुत विषय का वर्णन करते हुये प्रथम शबल दोष का विषय वर्णन करते हैं:
हत्थ-कम्मं करेमाणे सबले ।। १ ।। हस्त-कर्म-कुर्वन् शबलः ।। १ ।।
पदार्थान्वयः-हत्थकम्म-हस्त-क्रिया करेमाणे-करता हुआ सबले-शबल दोष युक्त होता है ।
मूलार्थ-हस्त-क्रिया करने से शबल दोष लगता है । - टीका-इस सूत्र में इस बात का प्रकाश किया गया है कि संसार में ऐसे अनभिज्ञ लोग भी हैं जो अनेक ऐसे कुकर्म कर बैठते हैं जिनसे सहज में ही आत्म-विराधना तथा संयम-विराधना उत्पन्न हो जाती हैं |
संसार में ऐसे २ नीच कर्म हैं जिनका सम्पूर्ण फल इस सारे जीवन में भी नहीं भुगता जा सकता, अतः परलोक में भी उनका परिणाम भोगना पड़ता है । जिन कर्मों के प्रभाव से मनुष्य जन्म ही व्यर्थ हो जाता है और आत्मा को सुगति के स्थान पर दुगति भोगनी पड़ती है अर्थात् उसका सम्पूर्ण जीवन दुःख-मय हो जाता है । इस सूत्र में कुछ ऐसे ही कर्मों का वर्णन किया गया है । जैसे मोहनीय कर्म के उदय से किसी जीव को वेद विकार हो गया, उसके वश में आकर पुरुष हस्त-क्रिया द्वारा वीर्यपात और स्त्री किसी काष्ठादि द्वारा कुचेष्टा करे तो अवश्य ही निर्बल हो रोगों के घर बन जायेंगे । लिखा भी है:
कम्पः स्वेदः श्रमो मूर्छा भ्रमग्लानिर्बल-क्षयः । राजयक्ष्मादि रोगाश्च भवेयुमैथुनोत्थिताः ।।

Commentary - This sutra highlights the fact that there are such ignorant people in the world who commit many such misdeeds, which easily lead to self-harm and violation of restraint.

There are two such vile deeds in the world, the full fruit of which cannot be borne even in this entire life, so their consequence has to be suffered in the next world as well. The deeds whose impact makes the human birth itself futile, and the soul has to suffer a wretched state instead of a happy one, i.e. its entire life becomes full of sorrow. This sutra describes some such deeds. For example, due to the rise of the Mohaniya karma, if a living being becomes subject to the Veda-vikara, then under its influence, if a man emits semen through hand-action or a woman performs some improper act with a piece of wood etc., then they will surely become weak, sickly and diseased. It is also written:

Kampah, svedah, shramah, murchha, bhrama-glanir-bala-kshayal.
Rajayakshma-adi-rogash-cha bhaveyu-maithunotthatah.
