२५. [प्र. ] किं ते ? 卐 [उ. ] कंदु-महाकुंभिए पयण-पउलण-तवग-तलण-भट्ठभज्जणाणि य लोहकडाहु-कट्टणाणि य + कोट्टवलिकरण-कोट्टणाणि य। म सामलितिखग्ग-लोहकंटग-अभिसरणपसारणाणि फालणविदारणाणि य अवकोडकबंधणाणि

२५. [प्र. ] नारकों को जो वेदनाएँ भोगनी पड़ती हैं, वे कैसी हैं ? म [उ. ] नारक जीवों को कंदु-लोहे की कड़ाही जैसे चौड़े मुख के पात्र में और महाकुंभी-सँकड़े मुख
वाले घड़ा सरीखे महापात्र में पकाया और उबाला जाता है। तवे पर रोटी की तरह सेका जाता है। चनों * की भाँति भाड़ में फँजा जाता है। लोहे की कड़ाही में ईख के रस के समान औटाया जाता है। जैसे देवी
के सामने बकरे की बलि चढ़ाई जाती है, उसी प्रकार उनकी बलि चढ़ाई जाती है-उनकी काया के
खण्ड-खण्ड कर दिये जाते हैं। ज लोहे के तीखे शूल के समान तीक्ष्ण काँटों वाले शाल्मलिवृक्ष (सेंमल) के काँटों पर उन्हें इधर-उधर । घसीटा जाता है। काठ के समान उनकी चीर-फाड़ की जाती है। उनके पैर और हाथ बीच में डण्डे - लगाकर बाँध दिये जाते हैं। सैकड़ों लाठियों से उन पर प्रहार किये जाते हैं। गले में फंदा डालकर लटका ॐ दिया जाता है। उनके शरीर को शूली के अग्र भाग से भेदा जाता है। झूठे आदेश देकर उन्हें ठगा जाता+ धोखा दिया जाता है। उनकी तीव्र भर्त्सना की जाती है, अपमानित किया जाता है। पूर्वभव में किए गये - घोर पापों की घोषणा करके उन्हें वधभूमि (कत्लगाह) में घसीटकर ले जाया जाता है। वध्य जीवों को 卐 दिये जाने वाले सैकड़ों प्रकार के दुःख उन्हें दिये जाते ।
25. [Q.] What are the feelings of pain that the hellish beings have to 45 undergo ?
(Ans.] The hellish beings are roasted in iron pots having wide mouth (Kandu) and in large pitchers with narrow neck (mahakumbhi). They are baked on the frying pan like a loaf. They are churned like grams on a burning fire. Just as goat sacrifice is done in front of a goddess, their sacrifice is performed. They are boiled like sugar cane juice in an iron vessel. Their body is cut into pieces.
They are pushed along the sharp thorn on a Semal tree having such sharp thorns. They are sawn like wood, they are hung with rope tied on their neck on a scaffold. Their body is pierced with the pointed tip of a sharp weapon. Their hands are tied keeping a wooden stick in between.
Then they are beaten with hundreds of sticks. They are cheated with 4 false orders. They are condemned adversely. They are dishonoured. The
