विवेचन : शास्त्रकार ने इस पाठ में प्रदर्शित किया है कि कामभोगों से जीव की कदापि तृप्ति होना सम्भव नहीं है। कामभोगों की लालसा अग्नि के समान है। जैसे आग में घी डालने से आग अधिक प्रज्ज्वलित होती 卐 है-शान्त नहीं होती, उसी प्रकार कामभोग से कामवासना कदापि शान्त नहीं हो सकती।
____ कामभोग ईंधन के तुल्य भोगतृष्णा की अभिवृद्धि के साधन हैं और उनके भोगने से तृप्ति होना सम्भव नहीं 卐 है, इसी तथ्य को अत्यन्त सुन्दर रूप से समझाने के लिए शास्त्रकार ने चक्रवर्ती के विपुल वैभव का विशद वर्णन म किया है। क्योंकि इस पृथ्वी पर चक्रवर्ती के समान अन्य किसी का भौतिक ऐश्वर्य नहीं होता। वह अनुपम !
कामभोगों का उपभोग करता है। उसके भोगोपभोगों की तुलना में शेष मानवों के उत्तमोत्तम कामभोग निकृष्ट हैं,
किसी गणना में नहीं है। षट्खण्ड भारतवर्ष की सर्वश्रेष्ठ चौंसठ हजार स्त्रियाँ उसकी पत्नियाँ होती हैं। वे सभी 卐 उसे हृदय से प्रेम करती हैं। उनके साथ अनेक शताब्दियों तक निश्चिन्त होकर भोग भोगने पर भी उसकी । + वासना तृप्त नहीं होती और अन्तिम क्षण तक-मरण सन्निकट आने तक भी वह अतृप्त-असन्तुष्ट ही रहता है
और अतृप्ति के साथ ही अपनी जीवन-लीला समाप्त करता है। कई चक्रवर्ती इन भोगों को छोड़कर दीक्षा ग्रहण
कर लेते हैं। पर जो भोगों को नहीं छोड़ते वे अतृप्ति में मरकर नरकगामी होते हैं। जो भोग को नहीं छोड़ते 卐 उसकी अपेक्षा से यह कथन समझना चाहिए।
जब चक्रवर्ती जैसे संसारी जीव की विपुलतम भोगों से भी तृप्ति न हुई तो सामान्य जनों को भोगोपभोगों से किस प्रकार तृप्ति हो सकती है ! इसी तथ्य को प्रकाशित करना प्रस्तुत सूत्र का एकमात्र लक्ष्य है।
चक्रवर्ती सम्पूर्ण भरतखण्ड के एकच्छत्र साम्राज्य का स्वामी होता है। चक्रवर्ती के विपुल वैभव व चौदह रत्न, नौ निधियों का विस्तृत वर्णन जम्बूद्वीप प्रज्ञप्ति, वक्षस्कार ३ में किया गया है, वहाँ देखना चाहिए। ___Elaboration-In the above-mentioned aphorism, the writer has discussed that a living being never feels satisfied with worldly enjoyments. The greed for worldly enjoyment is like a fire. Just as the fire brightens when ghee is added to it and does not cool down, similarly lust for worldly enjoyments is never subdued.
The worldly enjoyments are like the fuel that increases the lustful desires. It is never possible to get satisfaction by enjoying such pleasures. In order to bring around this fact the writer has given a detailed account of the prosperity of a Chakravarti. Nobody on the earth has prosperity greater than that of a Chakravarti. He enjoys unique worldly pleasures. Even grandest enjoyments of other human being feel shy before his enjoyments. They are insignificant in comparison to the y enjoyments of a Chakravarti.
