विवेचन-व्यायाम का अर्थ है प्रवृत्ति। यद्यपि सभी जीवों के मन, वचन और काय की प्रवृत्ति विभिन्न प्रकार की होती है। इस अपेक्षा से मनोयोग और वचनयोग चार-चार प्रकार का तथा काययोग सात प्रकार का आगे बताया है, किन्तु यहाँ सामान्य की विवक्षा से एकत्व का कथन है। ___Elaboration-Vyaayaam (exercise) here means activity or indulgence. All beings have different kinds of mental, vocal and physical activities. In this context mental and vocal activities of four kinds each and physical activities of seven kinds have been mentioned in the following text. However, the mention of singularity here is a generalized statement.
२२. एगा उप्पा। २३. एगा वियती। २४. एगा वियच्चा। २५. एगा गती। २६. एगा आगती। २७. एगे चयणे। २८. एगे उववाए।
२२. उत्पाद (उत्पत्ति) एक है। २३. विगति (विनाश) एक है। २४. विगतार्चा (मृत शरीर) एक 卐 है। २५. सामान्य रूप में गति एक है। २६. आगति एक है। २७. च्यवन एक है। २८. उपपात एक है।
22. Utpatti or utpaad (birth or creation) is one. 23. Vigati (death or destruction) is one. 24. Vigatarcha (abandoned body) is one. 25. Gati (incarnation or birth) is one. 26. Aagati (present incarnation) is one.
27. Chyavan (descent) is one. 28. Upapat (instantaneous birth) is one. म विवेचन-विगतार्चा-जीव एक समय में एक ही शरीर का त्याग करता है। अथवा सभी मृत शरीर
(मृतक रूप में) एक समान हैं। गति अर्थात् गमन। जीव और पुद्गल दोनों में ही गति होती है, किन्तु
यहाँ जीव के एक भव को छोड़कर आगामी भव में जाने को गति कहा है। पूर्व भव को छोड़कर वर्तमान के भव में आना आगति है। ऊपर से च्युत होकर नीचे आना च्यवन है। वैमानिक और ज्योतिष्क देव
आयुष्य पूर्ण कर ऊपर से नीचे आकर उत्पन्न होते हैं, उनका मरण 'च्यवन' कहलाता है। देवों और ॐ नारकों का जन्म उपपात कहलाता है।
Elaboration-Vigatarcha means abandoned or dead body. In this context singularity means a soul abandons only one body at a time. This also means that, defined as a body devoid of soul, all dead bodies are same. The common meaning of gati is movement. Both soul and matter have movement but here the term has been used to indicate the movement of soul from one incarnation to another. The incarnation from previous birth to the present birth is aagati. The descent from a higher dimension to a lower one is called chyavan. On conclusion of their lifespan the Vaimanik Devas (vehicle dwelling gods) and the Jyotishk Devas (stellar gods) reincarnate in lower dimensions; therefore, their death is
