2 धातकीषण्ड-पद DHATARIKHAND-PAD (SEGMENT OF DHATAKIKHAND)
३२९. धायइसंडे दीवे पुरथिमद्धे णं मंदरस्स पव्वयस्स उत्तर-दाहिणे णं दो वासा पण्णत्ताबहुसमतुल्ला जाव तं जहा-भरहे चेव, एरवए चेव।
३२९. धातकीषण्ड द्वीप के पूर्वार्ध में मन्दर पर्वत के उत्तर-दक्षिण में दो क्षेत्र हैं-दक्षिण में भरत , और उत्तर में ऐरवत। वे दोनों क्षेत्र-प्रमाण आदि की दृष्टि से सर्वथा सदृश हैं यावत् एक-दूसरे का 2 अतिक्रमण नहीं करते हैं। (क्षेत्र, वर्षधर पर्वत, कूट, द्रह, नदी आदि सभी जम्बूद्वीप के दुगुने - में धातकीषण्ड में तथा उतने ही पुष्करार्ध द्वीप में होते हैं)
329. In the eastern half of Dhatakikhand continent there are two areas (land masses) north and south of the Mandar mountain-Bharat
(in the south) and Airavat (in the north). These two land masses have f the same area... and so on up to... they do not contradict each other.
(In Dhatakikhand things like area, Varshadhar mountains, peaks, lakes, rivers etc. are double in number to that of Jambu continent. The same is true for Pushkarardh continent.)
३३०. एवं-जहा जंबुद्दीवे तहा एत्थवि भाणियव् जाव दोसु वासेसु मणुया, छविहंपि कालं । पच्चणुभवमाणा विहरंति, तं जहा-भरहे चेव, एरवए चेव, णवरं-कूडसामली चेव, धायइरुक्खे # चेव। देवा-गरुले चेव वेणुदेवे, सुदंसणे चेव। म ३३०. इसी प्रकार जैसा (सूत्र २६९ से ३२० तक) जम्बूद्वीप के प्रकरण में वर्णन किया है, वैसा # यहाँ पर भी कहना चाहिए यावत् भरत और ऐरवत इन दोनों क्षेत्रों में मनुष्य छहों ही कालों को अनुभव है
करते हैं। विशेष इतना ही है कि यहाँ वृक्ष दो हैं-कूटशाल्मली और धातकीवृक्ष। कूटशाल्मली वृक्ष पर में गरुड़कुमार जाति का वेणुदेव और धातकीवृक्ष पर सुदर्शन देव रहता है।
330. In the same way all that has been mentioned about Jambu continent (aphorisms 269-320) should be repeated here (in context of
Dhatakikhand continent)... up to... people living in Bharat area and fi Airavat area beget and experience conditions prevalent in all the six
epochs. The only change is that here the two great trees are Kootshalmali and Dhataki. On Kootshalmali tree resides Venudev, a god belonging to the Garud Kumar class and on Dhataki tree lives Sudarshan Dev.

३३१. धातकीषण्डद्वीप के पश्चिमा में मन्दर पर्वत के उत्तर-दक्षिण में दो क्षेत्र हैं-दक्षिण में # भरत और उत्तर में ऐरवत। वे दोनों क्षेत्र-प्रमाण आदि की दृष्टि से सर्वथा सदृश हैं।
