२७२. जंबुद्दीवे दीवे मंदरस्स पब्वयस्स उत्तर-दाहिणे णं दो वासहरपब्वया पण्णत्ताबहुसमतुल्ला अविसेसमणाणत्ता अण्णमण्णं णातिवटुंति आयाम-विक्खंभुच्चत्तोबेह-संठाण-: परिणाहेणं, तं जहा-चुल्लहिमवंते चेव, सिहरिच्चेव। २७३. एवं महाहिमवंते चेव, रूप्पिच्चेव एवं णिसढे चेव, णीलवंते चेव।
२७२. जम्बूद्वीप द्वीप में मन्दर पर्वत के उत्तर और दक्षिण में दो वर्षधर पर्वत हैं-दक्षिण में क्षुल्लक हिमवान् और उत्तर में शिखरी। ये दोनों क्षेत्र-प्रमाण आदि की दृष्टि से सर्वथा सदृश हैं, कालचक्र आदि सभी दृष्टि से और परिधि की अपेक्षा एक-दूसरे के समान हैं। २७३. इसी प्रकार महाहिमवान् और के रुक्मी तथा निषध और नीलवन्त पर्वत भी परस्पर में क्षेत्र-प्रमाण, कालचक्र-परिवर्तन, आयाम, विष्कम्भ, उच्चत्व, उद्वेध, संस्थान और परिधि में एक-दूसरे का अतिक्रमण नहीं करते हैं। (महाहिमवान और निषध पर्वत मेरुपर्वत के दक्षिण में हैं और नीलवन्त तथा रुक्मी उत्तर में हैं।)
272. In Jambu continent there are two Varsh-dhar parvats (mountains) north and south of the Mandar mountain-Kshull Himavan in the south and Shikhari in the north. These two have the same size. In terms of time cycle or weather cycle there is hardly any difference In terms of circumference and other physical parameters also they are si identical. 273. In the same way Mahahimavan and Rukmi mountains as 4 also Nishadh and Nilavant mountains do not surpass each other in terms of length, breadth, height, depth, structure and circumference. (Mahahimavan and Rukmi mountains are in the south of Meru mountain and Nishadh and Nilavant mountains are in the north.)

तत्थ णं दो देवा महिडिया जाव पलिओवमद्वितीय परिवसंति, तं जहा-साती चेव, पभासे चेव।
२७४. जम्बूद्वीप द्वीप में मन्दर पर्वत के दक्षिण में हैमवत और उत्तर में हैरण्यवत क्षेत्र में दो वृत्त वैताढ्य पर्वत हैं, जो परस्पर क्षेत्र प्रमाण की दृष्टि से सर्वथा सदृश हैं, कालचक्र आदि सभी दृष्टियों से उनमें कोई भिन्नता नहीं है। एक-दूसरे के समान हैं।
