555555555555555555555555555555555555 माणुस्सगा कामभोगा उच्चार-पासवण-खेल-सिंघाणग-वंत-पित्त-पूय-सुक्क-सोणियसमुभवा : अमणुण्णदुरूव-मुत्त-पूइयपुरीसपुण्णा मयगंधुस्सासअसुभनिस्सासा उव्वेयणगा बीभच्छा अप्पकालिया । लहुसगा कलमलाहिवासदुक्ख-बहुजणसाहारणा परिकिलेस-किच्छदुक्खसज्झा अबुहजणसेविया सदा । साहुगरहणिज्जा अणंतसंसारवद्धणा कडुयफलविवागा चुडलि व्व अमुच्चमाण दुक्खाणुबंधिणो सिद्धिगमणविग्घा, से केस णं जाणति अम्म ! ताओ ! के पुव् िगमणयाए ? के पच्छा गमणयाए ? तं । इच्छामि णं अम्म ! ताओ ! जाव पव्वइत्तए।
४०. माता-पिता के पूर्वोक्त कथन के उत्तर में जमालि क्षत्रियकुमार ने इस प्रकार कहा-हे माता-पिता ! तथापि आपने जो यह कहा कि विशाल कुल में उत्पन्न तेरी ये आठ पलियाँ हैं, यावत् भुक्तभोग और वृद्ध होने पर तथा हमारे कालधर्म को प्राप्त होने पर दीक्षा लेना, किन्तु माताजी और ! पिताजी ! यह निश्चित है कि ये मनुष्य-सम्बन्धी कामभोग [अशुचि (अपवित्र) और अशाश्वत हैं],, । मल (उच्चार), मूत्र, श्लेष्म (कफ), सिंघाण (नाक का मैल-लीट), वमन, पित्त, मवाद (पूति), शुक्र , म और शोणित (रक्त या रज) से उत्पन्न होते हैं, ये अमनोज्ञ और दुरूप (असुन्दर), मूत्र तथा दुर्गन्धयुक्त ।
विष्ठा से परिपूर्ण हैं; मृत कलेवर के समान दुर्गन्ध वाले उच्छ्वास एवं अशुभ निःश्वास से युक्त होने से ॐ उद्वेग (ग्लानि) पैदा करने वाले हैं। ये बीभत्स (घृणास्पद) हैं, अल्पकालस्थायी हैं, तुच्छ स्वभाव के हैं,
कलमल (शरीर में रहा हुआ एक प्रकार का अशुभ द्रव्य) के स्थानरूप होने से दुःखरूप हैं और ॐ बहु-जनसमुदाय के लिए भोग्यरूप से साधारण हैं, ये अत्यन्त मानसिक क्लेश से तथा गाढ़ शारीरिक 卐 कष्ट से साध्य हैं। ये अज्ञानी जनों द्वारा ही सेवित हैं, साधु पुरुषों द्वारा सदैव निन्दनीय (गर्हणीय) हैं,
अनन्त संसार की वृद्धि करने वाले हैं, परिणाम में कटु फल वाले हैं, जलते हुए घास के पूले के समान (एक बार लग जाने के बाद) कठिनता से छूटने वाले तथा दुःखानुबन्धी हैं, सिद्धि (मुक्ति) गमन में
विघ्नरूप हैं। अतः हे माता-पिता ! यह भी कौन जानता है कि हममें से कौन पहले जायेगा, कौन पीछे ? ॐ इसलिए, हे माता-पिता ! आपकी आज्ञा प्राप्त होने पर मैं दीक्षा लेना चाहता हूँ।

please know that the source of these physical pleasures is the body (and 4 it is impure and transient). It discharges stool, urine, phlegm, mucus of 4 卐 the nose (singhaan), vomit, bile, pus, semen, and blood (while indulging '
in these activities). It is filled with (as well as produces) impure things like repulsive, loathsome and malodorous excreta. And being the repository of impurities it is the source of misery. These pleasures produce repugnant inhalation and exhalation, stinking and abhorrent like a cadaver. They are despicable, short lived, base. Being common to masses they are ordinary but they are acquired through great mental turmoil and physical hardship. Only ignorant indulge in such things, the
