क्षुल्लक - भवग्रहण का आशय- अपनी-अपनी काय और जाति में जो छोटे-से-छोटा भव हो, उसे क्षुल्लकभव कहते हैं। एक अन्तर्मुहूर्त्त में सूक्ष्मनिगोद के ६५, ५३६ क्षुल्लकभव होते हैं, एकश्वासोच्छ्वास में १७ 卐 से कुछ अधिक क्षुल्लकभव होते हैं। पृथ्वीकाय से लेकर वायुकाय के एक मुहूर्त्त में १२,८२४ क्षुल्लकभव होते हैं। अप्काय से चतुरिन्द्रिय जीवों तक का देशबन्ध जघन्य ३ समय कम क्षुल्लकभव ग्रहण तक है। क्योंकि उनमें भी वैक्रियशरीर नहीं होता। - (विस्तार के लिए देखें, पदम प्रकाशन द्वारा प्रकाशित सचित्र भगवतीसूत्र, भाग २ )

पुद्गल - परावर्तन की व्याख्या - अनन्त अवसर्पिणी और उत्सर्पिणी का एक पुद्गल - परावर्तन होता है। असंख्यात समयों की एक आवलिका होती है। उस आवलिका के असंख्यात समयों का जो असंख्यातवाँ भाग है उसमें जितने समय होते हैं, उतने पुद्गल - परावर्तन यहाँ लिए गये हैं। इनकी संख्या भी असंख्यात हो जाती है, 5 क्योंकि असंख्यात के असंख्यात भेद हैं। (वृत्ति, पत्रांक ४०० से ४०३ तक)
