one Samaya more than three thousand years. This intervening period for the bondage of a part (desh-bandh) is a minimum of one Samaya and a maximum of one Antarmuhurt (less than 48 minutes).
४५. [प्र. ] पंचिंदियतिरिक्खजोणियओरालिय० पुच्छा।
[उ. ] सबबंधंतरं जहन्नेणं खुड्डागभवग्गहणं तिसमयूणं, उक्कोसेणं पुवकोडी समयाहिया, +देशबंधंतरं जहा एगिंदियाणं तहा पंचिंदियतिरिक्खजोणियाणं।
४५. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! पंचेन्द्रिय-तिर्यंचयोनिक-औदारिकशरीर-बन्ध का अन्तर कितने काल का कहा गया है?
[उ. ] गौतम ! इनके सर्वबन्ध का अन्तर जघन्यतः तीन समय कम क्षुल्लकभव-ग्रहण है और + उत्कृष्टतः समयाधिक पूर्वकोटि का है। देशबन्ध का अन्तर जिस प्रकार एकेन्द्रिय जीवों का कहा गया, उसी प्रकार सभी पंचेन्द्रिय-तिर्यंचयोनिकों का कहना चाहिए।
45. (Q.) What is the intervening period between one bondage and the next in case of the Tiryanch-panchendriya-audarik-sharira-prayogabandh (bondage related to gross physical body formation of five-sensed animals)?
[Ans.] Gautam ! This intervening period for the bondage of the whole (sarva-bandh) is a minimum of three Samaya more than Kshullakbhava-grahan (time taken in taking rebirths of shortest life-span specific to the body-type) and a maximum of one Samaya more than Purvakoti. This intervening period for the bondage of a part (desh-bandh) is same as one-sensed beings for all five sensed animals.
४६. एवं मणुस्साण वि निरवसेसं भाणियव्वं जाव उक्कोसेणं अंतोमुहत्तं।
४६. इसी प्रकार मनुष्यों के शरीरबन्धान्तर के विषय में भी पूर्ववत् यावत्- 'उत्कृष्तः अन्तर्मुहूर्त का है'-यहाँ तक सारा कथन करना चाहिए।
46. The same is true about this intervening period for human beings ... and so on up to ... 'a maximum of one Antarmuhurt'.
४७. [प्र. ] जीवस्स णं भंते ! एगिदियत्ते णोएगिंदियत्ते पुणरवि एगिदियत्ते एगिदियओरालिय卐 सरीरप्पओगबंधंतरं कालओ केवच्चिरं होइ ? ॐ [उ. ] गोयमा ! सव्वबंधंतरं जहनेणं दो खुड्डागभवग्गहणाई तिसमयूणाई, उक्कोसेणं दो # सागरोवमसहस्साइं संखेज्जवासमभहियाइं; देसबंधंतरं जहन्नेणं खुड्डागं भवग्गहणं समयाहियं, उक्कोसेणं
दो सागरोवमसहस्साई संखेज्जवासमभहियाई।
