[Ans.] Gautam ! (The answer is same for all ) It is both, bondage of a part (desh-bandh) as well as that of the whole (sarva-bandh).
३७. [ प्र. ] ओरालियसरीरप्पयोगबंधे णं भंते ! कालओ केवच्चिरं होइ ?
[ उ. ] गोयमा ! सव्वबंधे एक्कं समयं; देसबंधे जहन्त्रेणं एक्कं समयं, उक्कोसेणं तिण्णि पलिओवमाइं समऊणाई ।

३७. [ प्र. ] भगवन् ! औदारिकशरीर-प्रयोगबन्ध काल की अपेक्षा, कितने काल तक रहता है ? [ उ. ] गौतम ! सर्वबन्ध एक समय तक रहता है और देशबन्ध जघन्यतः एक समय और उत्कृष्टतः एक समय कम तीन पल्योपम तक रहता है।
37. [Q.] Bhante! In terms of time, how long does Audarik-shariraprayoga-bandh (bondage related to gross physical body formation) last? [Ans.] Gautam ! The bondage of the whole (sarva-bandh) lasts for just one Samaya and the bondage of a part (desh-bandh) lasts for a minimum of one Samaya and a maximum of one Samaya short of three Palyopam (a metaphoric unit of time ).
३८. [प्र. ] एगिंदियओरालियसरीरप्पयोगबंधे णं भंते ! कालओ केवच्चिरं होइ ?
[ उ. ] गोयमा ! सव्वबंधे एक्कं समयं; देसबंधे जहन्त्रेणं एक्कं समयं उक्कोसेणं बावीसं वाससहस्साइं समऊ णाई ।
३८. [ प्र. ] भगवन् ! एकेन्द्रिय-औदारिकशरीर - प्रयोगबन्ध कालतः कितने काल तक रहता है ? [ उ. ] गौतम ! सर्वबन्ध एक समय तक रहता है और देशबन्ध जघन्यतः एक समय तक और उत्कृष्टतः एक समय कम २२ हजार वर्ष तक रहता है।
38. [Q.] Bhante ! In terms of time, how long does Ekendriya-audariksharira-prayoga-bandh (bondage related to one-sensed gross physical body formation ) last ?
[Ans.] Gautam ! The bondage of the whole (sarva-bandh) lasts for just one Samaya and the bondage of a part (desh-bandh) lasts for a minimum of one Samaya and a maximum of one Samaya short of 22 thousand years.
३९. [ प्र. ] पुढविकाइयएगिंदिय० पुच्छा ।
[ उ. ] गोयमा ! सव्वबंधे एक्कं समयं, देसबंधे जहन्त्रेणं खुड्डागभवग्गहणं तिसमयूणं, उक्कोसेणं बावीसं वाससहस्साइं समऊ णाई ।
