45 and without an end), takes place in the eight central space-points
(pradesh) of a living being (soul). Of these eight space-points the bondage between groups of three is anaadi-aparyavasit. The bondage of all remaining space-points is saadi-saparyavasit. Of these the saadiaparyavasit bandh (bondage with a beginning and without an end) is applicable to Siddhas. Of these the saadi-saparyavasit bandh (bondage with a beginning and with an end) is said to be of four types-(1) Aalaapan-bandh (colligative bondage), (2) Allikaapan-bandh (seamless bondage), (3) Sharira-bandh (bondage related to body), and (4) Shariraprayoga-bandh (bondage related to body formation).
१३. [प्र. ] से किं तं आलावणबंधे ?
[उ. ] आलावणबंधे, जं णं तणभाराण वा कट्ठभाराण वा पत्तभाराण वा पलालभाराण वा ॐ वेल्लभाराण वा वेत्तलया-वाग-वरत्त-रज्जु-वल्लि-कुस-दभमादिएहिं आलावणबंधे समुप्पज्जइ; म जहनेणं अंतोमुहुत्तं, उक्कोसेणं संखेज्जं कालं। से तं आलावणबंधे।
१३. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! आलापनबन्ध किसे कहते हैं ?
[उ. ] गौतम ! तृण (घास) के भार, काष्ठ के भार, पत्तों के भार, पलाल के भार और बेल के भार, + इन भारों को बेंत की लता, छाल, वरत्रा (चमड़े की बनी मोटी रस्सी = बरत), रज्जु (रस्सी) बेल, 5
कुश और डाभ (नारियल की जटा) आदि से बाँधने से आलापनबन्ध समुत्पन्न होता है। यह बन्ध ॐ जघन्यतः अन्तर्मुहूर्त तक और उत्कृष्टतः संख्येय काल तक रहता है। यह आलापनबन्ध का स्वरूप है।
13. IQ.) Bhante ! What is this Aalaapan-bandh (colligative bondage) ?
[Ans.] Gautam ! Aalaapan-bandh (colligative bondage) takes place when a bundle of grass, logs of wood, leaves, hay or creepers are tied or strapped with the help of cane, bark-strip, leather (varatra), r creeper, grass-rope, coir-rope etc. This bondage lasts for a minimum of Antarmuhurt (less than 48 minutes) and a maximum of countable period of time. This concludes the description of Aalaapan-bandh (colligative bondage).
१४. [प्र. ] से किं तं अल्लियावणबंधे ? __ [उ. ] अल्लियावणबंधे चउबिहे पन्नत्ते, तं जहा-लेसणाबंधे उच्चयबंधे समुच्चयबंधे साहणणाबंधे।
१४. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! अल्लिकापन (आलीन) बन्ध किसे कहते हैं ?
[उ. ] गौतम ! आलीनबन्ध चार प्रकार का कहा गया है। वह इस प्रकार-१. श्लेषणाबन्ध, ॐ २. उच्चयबन्ध, ३. समुच्चयबन्ध और ४. संहननबन्ध ।
