[उ. ] हंता, गोयमा ! जंबुद्दीवे णं दीवे सूरिया उग्गमणमुहत्तंसि दूरे य तं चेव जाव अत्थमणमुहत्तंसि दूरे य मूले य दीसंति।
३५. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! जम्बूद्वीप नामक द्वीप में क्या दो सूर्य, उदय के मुहूर्त (समय) में दूर होते हुए भी निकट (मूल में) दिखाई देते हैं, मध्याह्न के मुहूर्त (समय) में निकट (मूल) में होते हुए दूर दिखाई देते हैं और अस्त होने के मुहूर्त (समय) में दूर होते हुए भी निकट (मूल में) दिखाई भी देते हैं ?
[उ. ] हाँ, गौतम ! जम्बूद्वीप नामक द्वीप में दो सूर्य, उदय के समय दूर होते हुए भी निकट दिखाई देते हैं, इत्यादि यावत् अस्त होने के समय में दूर होते हुए भी निकट दिखाई देते हैं।
35. [Q.] Bhante ! Is it true that in the continent called Jambudveep at the time of sunrise the two suns appear to be near though they are actually afar; at midday they appear to be afar though near; and at sunset they again appear to be near though they are actually afar ?
[Ans.) Yes, Gautam ! It is true that in the continent called Jambudveep at the time of sunrise the two suns appear to be near though they are actually afar ... and so on up to ... at sunset they again appear to be near though they are actually afar.
३६. [प्र.] जंबुद्दीवे णं भंते ! दीवे सूरिया उग्गमणमुहत्तंसि य मझंतियमुहुत्तंसि य, अत्थमणमुहुत्तंसि य सव्वत्थ समा उच्चत्तेणं ?
[उ. ] हंता, गोयमा ! जंबुद्दीवे णं दीवे सूरिया उग्गमण जाव उच्चत्तेणं।
३६. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! जम्बूद्वीप में दो सूर्य, उदय के समय में, मध्याह्न के समय में और अस्त होने के समय में क्या सभी स्थानों पर (सर्वत्र) ऊँचाई में सम हैं ? __ [उ. ] हाँ, गौतम ! जम्बूद्वीप नामक द्वीप में रहे हुए दो सूर्य . . . . यावत् सर्वत्र ऊँचाई में सम हैं।
36. [Q.] Bhante ! Is it true that in the continent called Jambudveep at F the time of sunrise, midday and sunset, the two suns are at the same
altitude from all conceivable points ? A [Ans.] Yes, Gautam ! It is true that in the continent called
Jambudveep ... and so on up to ... the two suns are at the same altitude F from all conceivable points.

[प्र. ] जइ णं भंते ! जंबुद्दीवे दीवे सूरिया उग्गमणमुहुत्तंसि य मज्झंतियमुहत्तंसि य अत्थमणमुहुत्तंसि जाव उच्चत्तेणं से केणं खाइ अट्टेणं भंते ! एवं वुच्चइ 'जंबुद्दीवे णं दीवे सूरिया उग्गमणमुहुत्तंसि दूरे य मूले य दीसंति जाव अत्थमणमुहुत्तंसि दूरे य मूले य दीसंति ? __[उ. ] गोयमा ! लेसापडिघाएणं उग्गमणमुहत्तंसि दूरे य मूले य दीसंति, लेसाभितावेणं ममंतिय मुहुत्तंसि मूले य दूरे य दीसंति, लेस्सापडिघाएणं अस्थमणमुहुत्तंसि दूरे य मूले य दीसंति, से तेणट्टेणं
