इस पर पुनः अन्यतीर्थिकों ने आक्षेप किया कि आपके मत से गच्छन्, अगत, व्यतिक्रम्यमाण, अव्यतिक्रान्त 1 और राजगृह को सम्प्राप्त करना चाहने वाला असम्प्राप्त कहलाता है। इसका प्रतिवाद स्थविरों ने किया और आक्षेपक अन्यतीर्थिकों को ही उनकी भ्रान्ति समझाकर निरुत्तर कर दिया। (वृत्ति, पत्रांक ३८१)
Elaboration--Silenced once, the heretics out of ignorance, blamed the senior ascetics that they were unrestrained and complete ignorant because they harmed earth-bodied and other beings in various ways. But the wise senior ascetics patiently explained the heretics that they moved
from one area to another solely for purpose of nature's call including 4 disposing (kaaya), serving the ailing (yoga) and protecting life forms 45
including water-bodied beings (ritu), and caused no harm to any living being in any way.
After that the heretics further blamed that according to ascetics what is going is termed as 'not gone', what is beings crossed is termed as 'has not crossed' and one who is desirous of reaching Rajagriha is termed as 'has not reached Rajagriha'. The senior ascetics refuted this and silenced
the heretics by removing their doubt. (Vritti, leaf 381) ॐ गतिप्रवाद और उसके पाँच भेदों का निरूपण FLOW OF MOVEMENT
२५. [प्र. ] कइविहे णं भंते ! गइप्पवाए पण्णत्ते ? ___ [उ. ] गोयमा ! पंचविहे गइप्पवाए पण्णत्ते, तं जहा-पयोगगई ततगई बंधणछेयणगई उववायगई विहायगई। एत्तो आरम्भ पयोगपयं निरवसेसं भाणियव्वं, जाव से तं विहायगई। सेवं भंते ! सेवं भंते ! त्ति.।
॥ अट्ठमसए : सत्तमो उद्देसओ समत्तो ॥ २५. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! गतिप्रपात कितने प्रकार का कहा गया है ?
[उ. ] गौतम ! गतिप्रपात पाँच प्रकार का कहा गया है। यथा-प्रयोगगति, ततगति, बन्धन-छेदनगति, उपपातगति और विहायोगति। ॐ यहाँ से प्रारम्भ करके प्रज्ञापनासूत्र का सोलहवाँ समग्र प्रयोगपद कहना चाहिए; यावत् 'यह म विहायोगति का वर्णन हुआ'; यहाँ तक कथन करना चाहिए। ॐ हे भगवन् ! यह इसी प्रकार है, भगवन् ! यह इसी प्रकार है; यों कहकर यावत् गौतम स्वामी 卐 विचरण करने लगे।
