Examples of trees with multiple seed fruits-Tinduk (Tendu; Gaub Persimon; Diospyrosembryopteris), Kavittha (Kaith; Wood apple or Elephant apple; Feronia elephantum), Amratak, Matulung (Bijora; Citron; Citrus medica), Bel (Bilva; Bengal Quince; Aegle marmelos corr), Anvala (hog-plum; Emblica officinalis), Phanas (Katahal; Jack fruit; Artocarpus integrifolia), Dadim (Anaar; Pomegranate), Ashvattha (Pipal; Ficus religiosa), Udumbar (Gular; Ficus glomerata), Vat (Banyan tree; Ficus bengalensis) and others. The roots of the aforesaid trees are also with uncountable souls; the trunks (kand), thick branches (skandh), barks (chhaal), branches (shakha), and sprouts (praval) are with infinite souls; the flowers (pushp) are with numerous souls and fruits (phal) are with multiple seeds (beej). ६. [ प्र. १ ] अह भंते ! कुम्मे कुम्मावलिया, गोहे गोहावलिया, गोणे गोणावलिया, मणुस्से मस्सावलिया, महिसे महिसावलिया, एएसि णं दुहा वा तिहा वा संखेज्जहा वा छिन्नाणं जे अंतरा ते वि तेहिं जीवपदेसेहिं फुडा ?
[ उ. ] हंता, फुडा ।
६. [ प्र. १ ] भगवन् ! कछुआ, कछुओं की श्रेणी (कूर्मावली), गोधा (गोह), गोधा की पंक्ति (गोधावलिका), गाय, गायों की पंक्ति, मनुष्य, मनुष्यों की पंक्ति, भैंसा, भैंसों की पंक्ति, इन सबके दो या तीन अथवा संख्यात खण्ड (टुकड़े) किये जायें तो उनके बीच का भाग क्या जीवप्रदेशों से स्पृष्ट (व्याप्त)
होता है ?
[ उ. ] हाँ, गौतम ! वह (बीच का भाग जीवप्रदेशों से) स्पृष्ट होता है।
6. [1] [Q.] Bhante! A tortoise, a row of tortoises (or other beings of the same species), a lizard, a row of lizards, a cow, a row of cows, a human, a row of humans, a buffalo, a row of buffaloes, if they are cut into two, three or countable pieces then is the intervening space touched by soulspace-points?
[Ans.] Yes, Gautam ! It (the intervening space) is touched.
