१४. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! नैरयिक जीव कामी हैं अथवा भोगी हैं ? [ उ. ] गौतम ! नैरयिक जीव भी पूर्ववत् कामी भी हैं, भोगी भी हैं।
१५. इसी प्रकार यावत् स्तनितकुमारों तक कहना चाहिए। ____14. [Q.] Bhante ! Do infernal beings (jivas) have cerebral experience or physical experience ? ___[Ans.] Gautam ! As aforesaid, infernal beings (jivas) too have cerebral experience as well as physical experience.
15. The same should be repeated for beings up to Stanit Kumar gods. १६. [प्र. १ ] पुढविकाइयाणं पुच्छा। [उ. ] गोयमा ! पुढविकाइया नो कामी, भोगी। [प्र. २ ] से केणटेणं जाव भोगी ? [उ. ] गोयमा ! फासिंदियं पडुच्च, से तेणटेणं जाव भोगी। [३] एवं जाव वणस्सइकाइया। १६. [प्र. १ ] भगवन् ! पृथ्वीकायिक जीवों के सम्बन्ध में भी यही प्रश्न है ? [उ. ] गौतम ! पृथ्वीकायिक जीव कामी नहीं हैं, किन्तु भोगी हैं।
[प्र. २ ] भगवन् ! किस अपेक्षा से ऐसा कहा जाता है कि पृथ्वीकायिक जीव कामी नहीं, किन्तु 9 भोगी हैं ?
[उ.] गौतम ! स्पर्शेन्द्रिय की अपेक्षा से पृथ्वीकायिक जीव भोगी हैं। इस अपेक्षा से, हे गौतम ! फ़ पृथ्वीकायकि जीव यावत् भोगी हैं।
[३] इसी प्रकार यावत् वनस्पतिकायिक जीवों तक कहना चाहिए।
16. [Q. 1] Bhante ! The same question regarding earth-bodied beings (prithvikayik jivas)? ।
[Ans.] Gautam ! Earth-bodied beings do not have cerebral experience but have physical experience ?
[Q.2] Bhante ! Why is it said that earth-bodied beings do not have cerebral experience but have physical experience ?
[Ans.) In relation to the sense organ of touch (as they have only this organ) earth-bodied beings have physical experience. That is why, Gautam ! It is said that earth-bodied beings have physical experience
