Maaghavati = intensely dark like the seventh hell. Vaat-parigha and impassable like a storm. Vaat-parikshobh = dark and tormenting like a storm. Devaparigha = like a gorge impassable even for gods. 5 Devaparikshobh = tormenting even for gods.

३२. एयासिं णं अट्ठण्हं कण्हराईणं अट्ठसु ओवासंतरेसु अट्ठ लोगंतियविमाणा पण्णत्ता, तं जहाअच्ची, अच्चिमाली, वइरोयणे, पभंकरे, चंदाभे, सूराभे, सुक्काभे, सुपतिट्ठाभे, मज्झे रिट्ठा ।
३२. इन (पूर्वोक्त) आठ कृष्णराजियों के आठ अवकाशान्तरों में आठ लोकान्तिक विमान हैं। यथा - (9) अर्चि, (२) अर्चिमाली, (३) वैरोचन, (४) प्रभंकर, (५) चन्द्राभ, (६) सूर्याभ, (७) शुक्राभ, 5 और (८) सुप्रतिष्ठाभ। इन सबके मध्य में रिष्टाभ विमान है।
32. In the eight intervening (avakashantar) areas between the (aforesaid) eight krishna-rajis there are eight Lokantik Vimaans (celestial vehicles at the edge of the universe) – (1) Archi, (2) Archimali, (3) Vairochan, ( 4 ) Prabhankar, ( 5 ) Chandraabh, (6) Suryaabh, (7) Shukraabh and (8) Supratishtaabh. At the center of all these is the Rishtaabh Vimaan.
३३. [ प्र. ] कहि णं भंते ! अच्ची विमाणे पण्णत्ते ?
[ उ. ] गोयमा ! उत्तरपुरत्थिमेणं ।
३४. [ प्र. ] कहि णं भंते ! अच्चिमाली विमाणे पण्णत्ते ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! पुरत्थिमेणं ।
३५. [प्र. ] एवं परिवाडीए नेयव्वं जाव कहि णं भंते! रिट्टे विमाणे पण्णत्ते ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! बहुमज्झदेस भागे ।
३३. [ प्र. ] भगवन् ! अर्चि विमान कहाँ है ?
[ उ. ] गौतम ! अर्चि विमान उत्तर और पूर्व के बीच में है ।
३४. [ प्र. ] भगवन् ! अर्चिमाली विमान कहाँ है ?
[उ. ] गौतम ! अर्चिमाली विमान पूर्व में है।
३५. [ प्र.] इसी क्रम (परिपाटी) से सभी विमानों के विषय में जानना चाहिए। यावत्- - हे भगवन् ! रिष्ट विमान कहाँ बताया गया है ?
[उ.] गौतम ! रिष्ट विमान बहुमध्यभाग (सबके मध्य ) में है।
33. [Q.] Where is the Archi Vimaan ?
[Ans.] Archi Vimaan is in the north-east.
