[३] वेदनीय कर्म की जघन्य (बन्ध-) स्थिति दो समय की है, उत्कृष्ट स्थिति ज्ञानावरणीय कर्म के समान तीस कोड़ाकोड़ी सागरोपम की जाननी चाहिए।
[४] मोहनीय कर्म की बन्धस्थिति जघन्य अन्तर्मुहूर्त्त की और उत्कृष्ट ७० क्रोडाकोड़ी सागरोपम की है। सात हजार वर्ष का अबाधाकाल है। अबाधाकाल की स्थिति को कम करने से शेष कर्म-स्थितिकर्मनिषेककाल जानना चाहिए। __ [५] आयुष्य कर्म की बन्धस्थिति जघन्य अन्तर्मुहूर्त्त की और उत्कृष्ट पूर्वकोटि के त्रिभाग से अधिक तैतीस सागरोपम की है। इसका कर्मनिषेक काल (तैतीस सागरोपम का तथा शेष) अबाधाकाल जानना चाहिए।
[६] नाम कर्म और गोत्र कर्म की बन्धस्थिति जघन्य आठ मुहूर्त की और उत्कृष्ट २० क्रोड़ाक्रोड़ी सागरोपम की है। इसका दो हजार वर्ष का अबाधाकाल है। अबाधाकाल की स्थिति को कम करने से शेष कर्मस्थिति-कर्मनिषेककाल होता है।
[७] अन्तराय कर्म के विषय में ज्ञानावरणीय कर्म की तरह (बन्धस्थिति आदि) समझ लेना चाहिए।
11. [Q. 1] Bhante ! What is the duration of bondage of Jnanavaraniya (knowledge obscuring) karma ?
[Ans.] Gautam ! The minimum duration of bondage of Jnanavaraniya karma is Antar-muhurt (slightly less than 48 minutes) and maximum is thirty Kodakodi Sagaropam (a metaphoric unit of time). The duration of its dormant state (abaadha kaal) is three thousand years. Subtracting the dormant period from the total gives the karma-nishek kaal (duration of experience or effective duration).
[2] Same is true for Darshanavaraniya (perception obscuring) karma.
[3] The minimum duration of bondage of Vedaniya karma (karma responsible for mundane experience of pain and pleasure) is two Samaya (ultimate fractional unit of time) and maximum is thirty Kodakodi Sagaropam (a metaphoric unit of time) like Jnanavaraniya karma. ___ [4] The minimum duration of bondage of Mohaniya (deluding) karma is Antar-muhurt (slightly less than 48 minutes) and maximum is seventy Kodakodi Sagaropam (a metaphoric unit of time). The duration of its dormant state (abaadha kaal) is seven thousand years. Subtracting the dormant period from the total gives the karma-nishek kaal (duration of experience or effective duration).
