22. With regard to one-sensed beings the third alternative (with augmentation and de-augmentation) should be stated and with regard to all other beings all the four alternatives should be stated.
२३. [प्र. ] सिद्धा णं भंते ! पुच्छा। [उ. ] गोयमा ! सिद्धा सोवचया, णो सावचया, णो सोवचय-सावचया, निरुवचय-निरवचया।
२३. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! क्या सिद्ध भगवान सोपचय हैं, सापचय हैं, सोपचय-सापचय हैं या निरुपचय-निरपचय हैं ?
[उ. ] गौतम ! सिद्ध भगवान सोपचय हैं, सापचय नहीं हैं, सोपचय-सापचय भी नहीं हैं, किन्तु निरुपचय-निरपचय हैं।
23. [Q.] What in case of Siddhas ?
(Ans.) Gautam ! Siddhas are with augmentation (sopachaya) and not with de-augmentation (sapachaya). They are also not with augmentation and de-augmentation (sopachaya-sapachaya) but are without augmentation and de-augmentation (nirupachaya-nirapachaya).
२४. [प्र. ] जीवा णं भंते ! केवइयं कालं निरुवचय-निरवचया ? [उ. ] गोयमा ! सव्वद्धं। २४. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! जीव कितने काल तक निरुपचय-निरपचय रहते हैं ? [उ. ] गौतम ! जीव सर्वकाल तक निरुपचय-निरपचय रहते हैं।
24. (Q.) Bhante ! How long do living beings remain without augmentation and de-augmentation (nirupachaya-nirapachaya)?
[Ans.] Gautam ! living beings remain without augmentation and deaugmentation (nirupachaya-nirapachaya) for all time.
२५. [प्र. १ ] नेरइया णं भंते ! केवइयं कालं सोवचया ? [उ. ] गोयमा ! जहन्नेणं एक्कं समय, उक्कोसेणं आवलियाए असंखेज्जइभागं। २५. [प्र. १ ] भगवन् ! नैरयिक कितने काल तक सोपचय रहते हैं ?
[उ. ] गौतम ! जघन्य एक समय और उत्कृष्ट आवलिका के असंख्येय भाग तक नैरयिक सोपचय रहते हैं।
25. [Q. 1] Bhante ! How long do infernal beings remain with augmentation (sopachaya) ?
[Ans.] Gautam ! Infernal beings remain with augmentation (sopachaya) for a minimum of one Samaya and maximum of uncountable fraction of an Avalika.
