The meaning and order of Siddha and following four terms-One who gets born only for the last time and is destined to get liberated is called फ्र Siddha (perfected). Only after he attains omniscience ( Keval-jnana) he is called buddha. One who becomes buddha is left with only the incarnation sustaining karmas (bhavopagrahi karma) that are nonvitiating (aghaati). When he sheds these incarnation sustaining karmas every momont he is called Mukta. As he continues to shed these karmas he keeps on enhancing his serenity. Acquiring such serenity is to attain Nirvana. During the last moments of his life, when he completely destroys all his karmas, he ends all his miseries.
Anadikam-without a beginning. Anavadagram-wihtout an end or infinite. Dihamaddham-one whose path (adhva) or life-span (addha) is long.
फ
aphorism is about the charam-shariris. The acharam-shariri ascetics do not get liberated at the end of the birth under consideration but they are certain to get liberated within seven to eight rebirths. Thus the maximum limit of their reincarnations is seven to eight. The limit of Apardhapudgalaparavartan (an extremely long unit of time) stated elsewhere relates to the transgressors.

१२. [ प्र. १ ] जीवे णं भंते ! असंजते अविरते अप्पडिहयपच्चक्खायपावकम्मं इतो चुए पेच्चा देवे सिया ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! अत्थेगइए देवे सिया, अत्थेगइए नो देवे सिया ।
[प्र.] से केणट्टेणं जाव इतो चुए पेच्चा अत्थेगइए देवे सिया, अत्थेगइए नो देवे सिया ?
[उ.] गोयमा ! जे इमे जीवा गामाऽऽगर - नगर-निगम - रायहाणि - खेड - कब्बड - मडंब - दोणमुहपट्टणाssसम - सन्निवेसे अकामतण्हाए अकामछुहाए अकामबंभचेरवासेणं अकाम अण्हाणग सेय- जल्लमल - पंकपरिदाहेणं अप्पतरो वा भुज्जतरो वा कालं अप्पाणं परिकिलेसंति, अप्पाणं परिकिलेसइत्ता कालमासे कालं किच्चा अन्नतरेसु वाणमंतरेसु देवलोगेसु देवत्ताए उववत्तारो भवंति ।
१२. [ प्र. १ ] भगवन् ! असंयत, अविरत तथा जिसने पापकर्म का त्याग नहीं किया है, वह जीव इस लोक से च्यव (मर) कर क्या परलोक में देव होता है ?
[उ.] गौतम ! कोई जीव देव होता है और कोई देव नहीं होता ।
[प्र.] भगवन् ! यहाँ से च्यवकर परलोक में कोई जीव देव होता है और कोई देव नहीं होता; इसका क्या कारण है ?
