४. [ प्र. ] से कहिं खाई णं भंते ! असुरकुमारा देवा परिवसंति ?
[उ.] गोयमा ! इमीसे रयणप्पभाए पुढवीए असीउत्तरजोयणसतसहस्सबाहल्लाए, एवं असुरकुमारदेववत्तव्वया जाव दिव्वाई भागभोगाई भुंजमाणा विहरंति ।

४. [ प्र. ] भगवन् ! तब ऐसा कौन-सा स्थान है, जहाँ असुरकुमार देव निवास करते हैं ?
[उ.] गौतम ! एक लाख अस्सी हजार योजन मोटी इस रत्नप्रभा पृथ्वी के बीच में (असुरकुमार देव रहते हैं।) यहाँ असुरकुमार सम्बन्धी समस्त वक्तव्यता कहनी चाहिए; यावत् वे दिव्य भोगों का उपभोग करते हुए आनन्दपूर्वक जीवनयापन करते हैं।
4. [Q.] Bhante ! Then which is the place where Asur Kumar Devs live ? [Ans.] Gautam ! In the middle of this one hundred eighty thousand Yojan thick Ratnaprabha Prithvi (live Asur Kumar Devs). Here all details about Asur Kumar Devs should be repeated... and so on up to... they spend their time enjoying divine pleasures.
विवेचन : प्रज्ञापनासूत्र के अनुसार रत्नप्रभा का पृथ्वी - पिण्ड एक लाख अस्सी हजार योजन का है। उसमें से ऊपर एक हजार योजन और नीचे के एक हजार योजन छोड़कर, बीच में एक लाख अठहत्तर हजार योजन के भाग में असुरकुमार देवों के ३४ लाख भवनावास हैं। (चित्र देखो )

Ratnaprabha Prithvi is one hundred eighty thousand Yojans. Leaving

5 abodes (bhavanavaas) of Bhavan-vaasi Devs in the remaining 1, 78,000 Yojans. (see illustration)

५. [ प्र.] अत्थि णं भंते ! असुरकुमाराणं देवाणं अहे गतिविस पण्णत्ते ?
[उ. ] हंता, अत्थि ।

[ उ. ] हाँ, गौतम ! ( उनमें अपने स्थान से नीचे जाने का सामर्थ्य) है।
5. [Q.] Bhante ! Do Asur Kumar Devs have the capacity to go downward (from their abodes) ?
[Ans.] Gautam ! They have (the capacity to go downward from their abodes).
६. [ प्र. ] केवइयं ए च णं भंते ! पभू ते असुरकुमाराणं देवाणं अहेगतिविसए पण्णत्ते ? [उ.] गोयमा ! जाव अहेसत्तमाए पुढवीए, तच्चं पुण पुढविं गता य गमिस्संति य ।
