३. [ प्र. १ ] 'भंते !' त्ति भगवं गोयमे समणं भगवं महावीरं वंदति नम॑सति, वंदित्ता नमंसित्ता एवं वयासी - अत्थि णं भंते ! इमीसे रयणप्पभाए पुढवीए अहे असुरकुमारा देवा परिवसंति ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! नो इणट्ठे समट्ठे ।
[प्र. २ ] एवं जाव अहेसत्तमा पुढवीए, सोहम्मस्स कप्पस्स अहे जाव अत्थि णं भंते ! ईसिप भाराए पुढवीए अहे असुरकुमारा देवा परिवसंति ?
[ उ. ] णो इणट्ठे समट्ठे ।
३. [ प्र. १ ] 'हे भगवन् !' यो कहकर भगवान गौतम ने श्रमण भगवान महावीर को वन्दननमस्कार किया। वन्दन - नमस्कार करके इस प्रकार पूछा- 'भगवन् ! क्या असुरकुमार देव इस रत्नप्रभापृथ्वी के नीचे रहते हैं ?'
[उ. ] हे गौतम ! यह अर्थ (बात) समर्थ (शक्य ) नहीं है।
[प्र. २ ] इसी प्रकार यावत् सप्तम ( तमस्तमः प्रभा) पृथ्वी के नीचे भी वे (असुरकुमार देव ) नहीं रहते; और न सौधर्मकल्प देवलोक के नीचे यावत् अन्य सभी कल्पों (देवलोकों) के नीचे वे नहीं रहते हैं । ( तब फिर प्रश्न होता है ) भगवन् ! क्या वे असुरकुमार देव ईषत्प्राग्भारा (सिद्धशिला) पृथ्वी के नीचे रहते हैं ?

[उ. ] ( हे गौतम !) यह अर्थ भी समर्थ (शक्य) नहीं है।
3. [Q. 1] "Bhante !" Addressing thus Bhagavan Gautam paid homage and obeisance to Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir. Having paid homage and obeisance he asked-Bhante! Do Asur Kumar Devs live beneath this Ratnaprabha Prithvi (first hell)?
[Ans.] Gautam ! That is not correct.
[Q. 2] Bhante ! In the same way (when )... and so on up to ... they do not live beneath the seventh hell (Tamastamahprabha Prithvi) and neither do they live beneath Saudharm Kalp (divine realm)... and so on up to... beneath all other divine realms; ( a question arises ) Bhante ! those Asur Kumar Deus live beneath Ishatpragbhara Prithvi (the 5 abode of Siddhas) ?
