[Q. 2] Bhante ! When there is such an occasion how do they behave towards each other?
[Ans.] When Devendra Shakra, the Indra (overlord) of Devs (gods) has some need then he appears before Ishanendra, the Indra (overlord)
of Devs (gods), in person. When Ishanendra, the Indra (overlord) of Devs 4 (gods) has some need then he appears before Devendra Shakra, the
Indra (overlord) of Deus (gods), in person. They address each othe follows—(Ishanendra says-) "O Devendra Shakra, the Indra (overlord) of Devs (gods) and the sovereign of the southern half of Lok ! How do you do ?” and (Shakrendra says-) "O Ishanendra, the Indra (overlord) of Deus (gods) and the sovereign of the southern half of Lok ! How do you do ?" Addressing thus they communicate and exchange views about their needs and activities. ___ ५०. [प्र. १ ] अस्थि णं भंते ! तेसिं सक्कीसाणाणं देविंदाणं देवराईणं विवादा समुप्पजंति ?
[उ. ] हंता, अत्थि। [प्र. २ ] से कहमिदाणिं पकरेंति ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! ताहे चेव णं ते सक्कीसाणा देविंदं देवरायाणो सणंकुमारं देविंदे देवरायं मणसी करेंति। तए णं से सणंकुमारे देविंदे देवराया तेहिं सक्कीसाणेहिं देविंदेहिं देवराईहिं मणसीकए समाणे खिप्पामेव सक्कीसाणामं देविंदाणं अंतियं पादुन्भवति।जं से बदइ तस्स आणा-उववाय-वयण-निद्देसे चिट्ठति।
५०. [प्र. १ ] भगवन् ! क्या देवेन्द्र शक्र और देवेन्द्र देवराज ईशान, इन दोनों में विवाद भी समुत्पन्न होता है?
[उ.] हाँ, गौतम ! (इन दोनों इन्द्रों के बीच विवाद भी समुत्पन्न) होता है। (दोनों की सीमाएँ लगी हुई हैं तथा अन्य विषय भी हो सकते हैं)
[प्र. २ ] (भगवन् ! परस्पर विवाद उत्पन्न होने पर) वे क्या करते हैं ?
[उ.] गौतम ! जब शक्रेन्द्र और ईशानेन्द्र में परस्पर विवाद उत्पन्न हो जाता है, तब वे दोनों, देवेन्द्र देवराज सनत्कुमारेन्द्र का मन में स्मरण करते हैं। (मानसिक सम्पर्क करते हैं) देवेन्द्र देवराज शक्रेन्द्र
और ईशानेन्द्र द्वारा स्मरण करने पर (आसन प्रकम्पित होता है, तब) शीघ्र ही सनत्कुमारेन्द्र देवराज, शिक्रेन्द्र और ईशानेन्द्र के निकट प्रकट होता है। वह जो भी कहता है, (उसे ये दोनों इन्द्र मान्य करते हैं।) ये दोनों इन्द्र उसकी आज्ञा, सेवा, आदेश और निर्देश में रहते हैं।
