1 Devs (gods), all those Asur Kumar gods and goddesses stood facing \ Ishanendra from all directions around him (facing up) and touching their $
forehead with joined palms they greeted Ishanendra with hails of victory. After greetings they submitted—“Blessed you are, O Beloved of gods! You have acquired, attained and experienced divine opulence. We have witnessed in person the divine opulence... and so on up to... influence
red, attained and experienced by you. Therefore, O Beloved of gods! 4 # We beg your pardon (for the mistake we committed). Beloved of gods !
Please forgive us. Beloved of gods! You are capable of forgiving us. We will
never repeat this behaviour.” With this submission they properly and 4 humbly sought forgiveness from Ishanendra again and again.
४०. तते णं ईसाणे देविंदे देवराया तेहिं बलिचंचारायहाणीवत्थव्वएहिं बहूहिं असुरकुमारेहिं देवेहि ॐ देवीहि य एयमटं सम्मं विणएणं भुज्जो भुज्जो खामिए समाणे तं दिव्वं देविढि जाव तेयलेस्सं पडिसाहरइ।
तप्पभितिं च णं गोयमा ! ते बलिचंचारायहाणिवत्थव्वया बहवे असुरकुमारा देवा य देवीओ य म ईसाणं देविंदं देवरायं आढ़ति जाव पज्जुवासंति, ईसाणस्स य देविंदस्स देवरण्णो आणा-उववाय-वयनिद्देसे चिट्ठति।
४०. अब जब बलिचंचा-राजधानी-निवासी उन बहुत-से असुरकुमार देवों और देवियों ने देवेन्द्र देवराज ईशान से अपने अपराध के लिए सम्यक् विनयपूर्वक बार-बार क्षमायाचना कर ली, तब ईशानेन्द्र ने उस दिव्य देव-ऋद्धि यावत् छोड़ी हुई तेजोलेश्या को वापस खींच (समेट) ली।
हे गौतम ! तब से बलिचंचा-राजधानी-निवासी वे बहुत-से असुरकुमार देव और देवीवृन्द देवेन्द्र देवराज ईशान का आदर करते हैं यावत् उसकी पर्युपासना (सेवा) करते हैं। (और तभी से वे) देवेन्द्र ॐ देवराज ईशान की आज्ञा और सेवा में, तथा आदेश (अनुशासनात्मक) और निर्देश (कर्त्तव्य का सूचन) में रहते हैं।
40. Now when those Asur Kumar gods and goddesses from the capital city Balichancha properly and humbly sought forgiveness from i Ishanendra again and again, Ishanendra withdrew that divine opulence... and so on up to... fire-power.
Gautam ! Since then those Asur Kumar gods and goddesses from the fi capital city Balichancha respect... and so on up to... worship Ishanendra,
the Indra (overlord) of Deus (gods). And since then they obey him, serve him and are under his order and command.
४१. एवं खलु गोयमा ! ईसाणेणं देविंदेणं देवरण्णा सा दिव्या देविड्ढी जाव अभिसमन्त्रागया।
४१. हे गौतम ! देवेन्द्र देवराज ईशान ने वह दिव्य देव-ऋद्धि यावत् इस प्रकार लब्ध और , अभिसमन्वागत की है।
