卐 स्थविर भगवन्तों द्वारा दिये गये उत्तरों (अर्थों) को ग्रहण करते हैं। तत्पश्चात् वे वहाँ से उठते हैं और 5
तीन बार वन्दना-नमस्कार करते हैं। फिर वे उन स्थविर भगवन्तों के पास से और उस पुष्पवतिक चैत्य ऊ से निकलकर जिस दिशा से आये थे, उसी दिशा में वापस (अपने-अपने स्थान पर) लौट गये।
18. Listening to and understanding the religious discourse given by Sthavir Bhagavants, those shramanopasaks became pleased and contented. After paying homage and obeisance to Sthavir Bhagavants
they started asking other questions. After asking questions they listened ki to and understood the answers. They then got up and paid homage and
obeisance three times. At last they took leave of the Sthavir Bhagavants, came out of the Pushpavatik chaitya and proceeded in the direction they
had come from (to their respective abodes). म १९. तए णं ते थेरा अनया कयाइं तुंगियाओ पुप्फवतियाओ, चेइयाओ पडिनिग्गच्छंति, बहिया 4 जणवयविहारं विहरंति।
१९. इधर वे स्थविर भगवन्त भी किसी एक दिन तुंगिका नगरी के उस पुष्पवतिक चैत्य से निकले
और बाहर (अन्य) जनपदों में विचरण करने लगे। 卐 19. The Sthavir Bhagavants too left the Pushpavatik chaitya and

२०. तेणं कालेणं तेणं समए णं रायगिहे नामं नगरे जाव परिसा पडिगया।
२०. उस काल, उस समय में राजगृह नामक नगर था। वहाँ भगवान महावीर स्वामी पधारे। ॐ परिषद् (वन्दना करने गई) यावत् (धर्मोपदेश सुनकर) परिषद् वापस लौट गई।
20. During that period of time there was a city called Rajagriha. Description (as before). Bhagavan Mahavir arrived there. People came out. Bhagavan gave his sermon. People dispersed.
२१. तेणं कालेणं तेणं समए णं समणस्स भगवओ महावीरस्स जेटे अंतेवासी इंदभूती नामं अणगारे जाव संखित्तविउलतेयलेस्से छटंछठेणं अणिक्खित्तेणं तवोकम्मेणं संजमेणं तवसा अप्पाणं भावेमाणे 卐 जाव विहरति।
२१. उस काल, उस समय में श्रमण भगवान महावीर के ज्येष्ठ अन्तेवासी (शिष्य) इन्द्रभूति नामक अनगार थे। यावत् वे विपुल तेजोलेश्या को अपने शरीर में संक्षिप्त करके रखते थे। वे निरन्तर छट्ठ-छट्ठ के तपश्चरण से तथा संयम और तप से अपनी आत्मा को भावित करते हुए विचरते थे।
