卐 योग-उपयोग का अर्थ-यहाँ योग का तात्पर्य है-आत्मा की शक्ति को फैलाना। वह मन, वचन और काया के 5
माध्यम से फैलाई जाती है। इसलिए इन तीनों की प्रवृत्ति, प्रसारण या प्रयोग को योग कहा जाता है। उपयोग का
अर्थ-जानना या देखना है। वस्तु के सामान्य (स्वरूप) को जानना अनाकार-उपयोग है और विशेष धर्म को म जानना साकारोपयोग है। दर्शन को अनाकारोपयोग और ज्ञान को साकारोपयोग कहा जा सकता है।
Yoga and Upayoga-Here yoga means spreading the spiritual power. As it is done through mind, speech and body the indulgence, endeavour
or action of these three is called yoga. Upayoga means cognition or 45 perception. To know ordinary or simple form of a thing is anakaar卐 upayoga (cursory-cognition) and to know special attributes is
sakaaropayoga (elaborate cognition). Darshan (perception) may be called

२८. एवं सत्त वि पुढवीओ नेयव्वाओ। णाणत्तं लेसासु। गाहा-काऊ य दोसु, ततियाए मीसिया, नीलिया चउत्थीए।
पंचमियाए मीसा, कण्हा तत्तो परमकण्हा॥७॥
२८. रत्नप्रभा पृथ्वी के विषय में दस द्वारों का वर्णन किया है, उसी प्रकार से सातों पृथ्वियों म (नरकभूमियों) के विषय में जान लेना चाहिए। किन्तु लेश्याओं में विशेषता (विभिन्नता) है। वह इस प्रकार है
(गाथार्थ) पहली और दूसरी नरकपृथ्वी में कापोतलेश्या है, तीसरी नरकपृथ्वी में मिश्र अर्थात्+ कापोत और नील, ये दो लेश्याएँ हैं, चौथी में नीललेश्या है, पाँचवीं में मिश्र अर्थात्-नील और कृष्ण, ये दो लेश्याएँ हैं, छठी में कृष्णलेश्या और सातवीं में परम कृष्णलेश्या होती है।

२९. [प्र. ] चउसट्ठीए णं भंते ! असुरकुमारावास सतसहस्सेसु एगमेगंसि असुरकुमारावासंसि असुरकुमाराणं केवतिया ठिइटाणा पण्णत्ता ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! असंखेज्जा टितिटाणा पण्णत्ता। तं जहा-जहनिया ठिई जहा नेरतिया तहा, नवरं पडिलोमा भंगा भाणियव्वा-सव्वे वि ताव होज्जा लोभोवउत्ता, अहवा लोभोवउत्ता य मायोवउत्ते य, अहवा लोभोवउत्ता य मायोवउत्ता य। एतेणं नेतव्वं जाव थणियकुमारा, नवरं णाणत्तं जाणियव्वं ।
