३. [प्र. ] केवतिया णं भंते ! असुरकुमारावाससतसहस्सा पण्णत्ता ? एवं
[उ. ] चोसट्ठी असुराणं, चउरासीई य होंति नागाणं। बावत्तरी सुवण्णाणं, वाउकुमाराणं छण्णउती॥२॥ दीव-दिसा-उदहीणं विज्जुकुमारिंद-थणिय-मग्गीणं।
छण्हं पि जुयलगाणं छावत्तरिमो सतसहस्सा ॥३॥ ३. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! असुरकुमारों के कितने लाख आवास हैं ? __ [उ.] गौतम ! असुरकुमारों के चौंसठ लाख आवास (रहने के स्थान) हैं। इसी प्रकार नागकुमारों के चौरासी लाख, सुपर्णकुमारों के ७२ लाख, वायुकुमारों के ९६ लाख तथा द्वीपकुमार, दिक्कुमार, उदधिकुमार, विद्युत्कुमार, स्तनितकुमार और अग्निकुमार, इन छह युगलकों (दक्षिणदिशावर्ती और उत्तरदिशावर्ती दोनों के) ७६-७६ लाख आवास हैं। [सब मिलाकर ७,७२,००,००० सात करोड़ बहत्तर लाख आवास हैं]
3. (Q.) Bhante ! How many hundred thousand are the abodes of Asur Kumars (a kind of lower gods)?
(Ans.] Gautam ! There are sixty four hundred thousand abodes of Asur Kumars. In the same way Naag Kumars have eighty four hundred thousand, Suparna Kumars have seventy two hundred thousand, Vayu Kumars have ninety six hundred thousand, and each of the six pairs (southern and northern) of Dveep Kumars, Dikkumars, Udadhi Kumars, Vidyut Kumars, Stanit Kumars and Agni Kumars have seventy four hundred thousand abodes. (This makes a total of seventy seven million two hundred thousand abodes.)
४. [प्र. ] केवतिया णं भंते ! पुढविक्काइयावाससतसहस्सा पण्णत्ता ?
[उ.] गोयमा ! असंखेज्जा पुढविक्काइयावाससयसहस्सा पण्णत्ता जाव असंखिज्जा जोइसियविमाणावाससयसहस्सा पण्णत्ता।
४. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! पृथ्वीकायिक जीवों के कितने लाख आवास हैं ? । [उ.] गौतम ! पृथ्वीकायिक जीवों के असंख्यात लाख आवास हैं। इसी प्रकार (पृथ्वीकाय से लेकर) यावत् ज्योतिष्क देवों तक के असंख्यात लाख आवास हैं।
4. [Q.] Bhante ! How many hundred thousand are the abodes of earthbodied beings (prithvikayik jivas)? ___ [Ans.] Gautam ! Earth-bodied beings (prithvikayik jivas) have innumerable hundred thousand abodes. In the same way all beings (from
