७.[१] पुढविक्काइयाणं आहार-कम्म-वण्ण-लेसा जहा नेरइयाणं। ७.[१ ] पृथ्वीकायिक जीवों का आहार, कर्म, वर्ण और लेश्या नैरयिकों के समान समझना चाहिए।
7. [1] The details of intake, karma, colour and leshya of prithvikayik jivas (earth-bodied beings) should be read to be the same as those of infernal beings.
[प्र. २ ] पुढविक्काइया णं भंते सब्चे समवेदणा ? [उ. ] हंता, समवेयणा। [प्र. ] से केणटेणं ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! पुढविक्काइया सव्ये असण्णी असण्णिभूयं अणिदाए वेयणं वेदेति। से तेणद्वेणं गोयमा ! एवं .....।
[प्र. २ ] भगवन् ! क्या सब पृथ्वीकायिक जीव समान वेदना वाले हैं ? [उ. ] हाँ, गौतम ! वे समान वेदना वाले हैं। [प्र. ] भगवन् ! ऐसा किस कारण से कहते हैं ?
[उ. ] गौतम ! समस्त पृथ्वीकायिक जीव असंज्ञी हैं और असंज्ञीभूत जीव वेदना को अनिदा(अनिर्धारित) रूप से वेदते हैं। इस कारण हे गौतम ! ऐसा कहा जाता है कि सभी पृथ्वीकायिक समान वेदना वाले हैं।
[Q. 2] Bhante ! Do all earth-bodied beings have the same pain (intensity of suffering)?
[Ans.] Yes, Gautam ! They have the same pain. (Q.) Bhante ! Why do you say so?
(Ans.] Gautam ! All earth-bodied beings are asanjnibhoot (not having awareness/righteousness). And asanjnibhoot beings suffer pain indeterminately. That is why, Gautam ! it is said that all earth-bodied beings have the same pain (intensity of suffering).
[प्र. ३ ] पुढविक्काइया णं भंते ! समकिरिया ? . [उ. ] हंता, समकिरिया।
