एक दिन शीघ्र आये हुए लौकान्तिक देवों ने उस (वज्रसेन) से कहा कि तुम मोहित क्यों हो? क्या तुम्हारी हितबुद्धि चली गयी, जो तुम नारी में रत रहनेवाले, इन्द्रियरूपी अश्वों के द्वारा यहाँ अनुरक्त हो! हे देवदेव, जहाँ तुम त्रिलोकनाथ हो वहाँ किसी दूसरे के लिए बोधिलाभ क्या होगा? शान्ति करनेवाले लौकान्तिक देवों ने इस प्रकार उस वज्रसेन को सम्बोधित किया। तब वज्रनाभि के लिए शृंगारभार वैभव के अहंकार का प्रतीक राजपट्ट बाँधकर उसने आम्रवन में एक क्षण में संन्यास ले लिया।
