खजाना और धरती छोड़कर तथा कामकषाय का विभंजन करनेवाला निर्ग्रन्थ निरंजन मुनि हो गया। उसके घत्ता-उसका चित्रांग नाम रखा गया। नकुल को मनोहर नाम का देव स्वर्ग से आकर, प्रभंजन नाम साथ अनिंद्य राजाओं के राग को नष्ट करनेवाले अठारह हजार पाँच सौ राजपुत्र तथा वरदत्तादि जन मुनि हो के राजा की रानी चित्रमालिनी से पुत्र उत्पन्न हुआ ॥ १६॥
