उसमें स्वभाव, परभाव और भाव भी नहीं हैं, जो नभ है, वह नभ ही है, चन्द्रमा रवि नहीं है, यदि चित्त के द्वारा वृत्ति उत्पन्न नहीं होती तब ध्यान किया गया देवता क्या कहता है? यदि शुभ-अशुभ कर्मदल की रचना करनेवाले पुद्गलों को जीव ग्रहण नहीं करता, तो प्रिय को देखती हुई स्त्रियों का कंचुकी का सूत्रजाल क्यों टूट जाता है? जो तुमने यह कहा कि आगम ही घटित नहीं होता, तो ग्रहण को किसने जाना और गिना? घट शब्द बैल में बुद्धि पैदा नहीं करता (अर्थात् घट शब्द से बैल का अर्थ ग्रहण नहीं होता) यह बात तो बाल-गोपाल भी जानता है । गत सर (कामदेव से रहित) का धर्म ही चारित्र है, जो मोक्ष करता है। लेकिन पण्डित अर्थात् वितण्डावादी, गतसर (गत बाण) में धनुष की योजना करता है, कविभाव काव्य की रचना किस प्रकार करता है, जिस प्रकार पेड़ के ऊपर मयूर चढ़ जाता है।
घत्ता-और जो तुम लोगों ने यह सम्भावना की है जो जैसा है, वह वैसा ही होता? तो फिर लोगों के द्वारा क्रिया योग के द्वारा लोहे से सोना कैसे बना दिया जाता है? ॥१६॥
हो-हो, जाति हेतु छलपूर्ण वचन की चपल रचना छोड़कर, जिन के द्वारा कथित धर्म का आचरण करो मनचाहा फल प्राप्त करोगे। यह सुनकर उन्हें सन्मति हुई। दोनों वादीश्वर वैराग्य को प्राप्त हुए। भारी भक्ति कर गुरु के लिए प्रणाम किया। जिस प्रकार सूर्योदय होने पर कमलों की जड़ता चली जाती है, उसी प्रकार मुनि वचनों को सुनने और माननेवालों में जड़ता का भाव नहीं रहता। वे दोनों ही कल्याणमित्र संसार का विचार करते हुए विरक्त हो गये। तथा उन्हीं त्रिलोक दिवाकर मतिसागर मुनि से दीक्षा ग्रहण कर ली। उन्होंने आचाम्ल, वर्धमान और सुदर्शन नाम के भीषण तप किये। दोनों ने दुष्कर्म का विरोध किया और अपने हित का नियमन कर दोनों ने उसे नष्ट कर दिया। आगमों में प्रतिपादित चार प्रकार के आहारों के त्याग और उत्तम दृष्टि से वे मृत्यु को प्राप्त कर शुक्र स्वर्ग में इन्द्र तथा प्रतीन्द्र हुए। अन्तिम समय अपनी शिखाज्योति नष्ट करनेवाले वे दोनों सोलहसागर पर्यन्त वहाँ निवास कर, धातकी खण्ड द्वीप में शिशु-चन्द्रमा के समान शुभ्र पश्चिम सुमेरु की पश्चिम दिशा में पश्चिम विदेह में जनों को सुख देनेवाली पुष्कलावती नाम की वसुधा है।
