इस प्रकार त्रेसठ महापुरुषों के गुणालंकारों वाले इस महापुराण में महाकवि पुष्पदन्त द्वारा विरचित एवं महाभव्य भरत द्वारा अनुमत महाकाव्य का भरतविनय और संशयोच्छेदन नाम का उन्नीसवाँ अध्याय समाप्त हुआ ।। १९ ।।

"ऋषभ के द्वारा भरत से (पहले) जो कुछ कहा गया, उसे मैं इस समय छिपाकर नहीं रखूँगा। सुनो,
मैं त्रिषष्टि पुराण कहता हूँ।"

तब वहाँ ऋषभदेव ने इस प्रकार कहा "हे मनुष्य, देवपुत्र सुनो, पुराण में त्रिलोक देशपुर राज्यतीर्थ-तप-दान- शुभ-प्रशस्त गतिफल आठों आरम्भिक पुण्यस्थान आदि बातें कही जाती हैं। जिसमें द्रव्य स्थित रहते हैं और दिखाई देते हैं उसे लोक कहा जाता है। उसे न तो किसी ने बनाया है, और न वह किसी के द्वारा धारण किया गया है। वह निरन्तर जीव-अजीवों से भरा हुआ है, चल और अचल वह अपने स्वभाव से रचित है। तथा आकाश में स्थित होते हुए भी वह गिरता नहीं है। लेकिन मूर्ख जड़जनों को इसका कारण बताते हैं कि सृष्टि करनेवाले देव ने इस लोक का निर्माण किया है। पृथ्वी, पवन, अग्नि, जल और लोक के उपादान द्रव्य यदि नहीं हैं तो
