त्रिभुवन जैसे ध्वस्त होना चाहता है। इन्द्र-वरुण-वैश्रवण अफसोस करते हैं, धरती किसी प्रकार भार को कर्कोट जाति के नागों को मन में शंका हो गयी और उन्होंने अपना मुख टेढ़ा कर लिया॥५॥ सहन करती है। समुद्र किसी प्रकार धरती पर नहीं बहता, मन्दराचल किसी प्रकार अपने स्थान से नहीं डिगता, चन्द्रमा और सूर्य दोनों आकाश में काँपते हैं । नौला असहाय कैलास भी हिलने लगता है। इस प्रकार चलता वहाँ निवास करनेवाले किंनर, गरुड़, भूत, किंपुरुष, महोरग, यक्ष, राक्षस और व्यन्तर कौन-कौन देवता हुआ सैन्य दिखाई देता है, वह आधी गुफा के धरती तल पर पहुँच जाता है।
प्रभु के वश में नहीं हुए। उस समय पर्वत के मध्य में, जिनमें सुन्दर कारण्ड (हंस) और भेरुण्ड लीला में घत्ता-शत्रु के मद का नाश करनेवाले राजा के परिवार के पथ में जाने पर नाग, शंख, कौलिय और रत हैं,
