चतुःपञ्चाशत्तमं पर्व
१७७ ॥
विभूष्य भूषणैः सर्वैर्बद्ध्वा त्रैलोक्यकण्ठिकाम् । मुदा वीक्ष्य सहस्राक्षो व्यवहारप्रसिद्धये ॥ १७२ ॥ कुठं कुवलयस्यास्व सम्भवे व्यकसत्तराम् । यतस्ततश्चकाराख्यां सार्था चन्द्रप्रभं प्रभोः ॥ १७३ ॥ आनन्दनाटकं चास्य निर्वयमे शचीपतिः । पुनरानीय तत्पित्रोरर्पयित्वा जगत्पतिम् ॥ १७४ ॥ भोगोपभोग योग्योरुवस्तुभिः परिचर्यताम् । भगवानिति सन्दिश्य यक्षेशं स्वाश्रयं ययौ ॥ १७५ ॥ प्रबोधमहतां श्रीत्वमपि निन्द्यं जगत्पतेः । लोकोपकारिणः प्राप्तेः सपुण्यां लक्ष्मणामिमाम् ॥ १७६ ॥ पावनीं स्तुत्यतां नीत्वा देवाश्चापन् महाफलम् । स्त्रीतेशी वरिष्ठेति मेनिरेऽनिमिषाङ्गनाः ॥ गतेऽनन्तरसन्ताने सागरोपमकोटिभिः । शतैर्नवभिरेषोऽभूत्तदभ्यन्तरजीवितः ॥ १७८ ॥ शून्यषट् कैकपूर्वायुः सार्द्धचापशतोच्छ्रितिः । अवर्द्धन्तेव शीतांशुः कलाशेषो जगन्नुतः ॥ १७९ ॥ इतः स्वामिंस्त्वमेहीति कुतूहलविलासिनी । प्रसारितकरन्यस्ततलाम्भोज समाश्रयः ॥ १८० ॥ अकारणसमुद्भूतस्मितकान्तमुखाम्बुजः । कदाचित्प्रस्खलत्पादविन्यासो मणिकुट्टिमे ॥ १८९ ॥ इत्यादितद्वयोयोग्यमुग्धझुद्धविचेष्टितैः । नीत्वा बाल्यं स कौमारमाप प्रार्थ्यं सुखाधिभिः ॥ १८२ ।। अमृतैस्तनुमेतस्य' कृतां मन्यामहे वयम् । वेधसेति जनालापाः प्रवर्तन्ते स्म कौतुकात् ॥ १८३ ॥ आधिक्याद्भावलेश्येव निर्गतेवेक्षयाप्रिया । द्रव्यलेश्या व्यभासिष्ट जित्वा पूर्णेन्दुजयुतिम् ॥ १८४ ॥ यशसा लेश्यया चास्य ज्योतिषां छादिता घुतिः । भोगभूमिर्निवृत्रोति प्रतोषमकरोजनः ॥ १८५ ॥
नेत्र बनाकर उन्हें देखा। उनके उत्पन्न होते ही यह कुत्रलय अर्थात् पृथ्वी - मण्डलका समूह अथवा नील-कमलोंका समूह अत्यन्त विकसित हो गया था इसलिए इन्द्रने व्यवहारकी प्रसिद्धिके लिए उनका 'चन्द्रप्रभ' यह सार्थक नाम रक्खा ।। १७१ - १७३ ॥ इन्द्रने इन त्रिलोकीनाथके आगे आनन्द धमका नाटक किया । तदनन्तर उन्हें लाकर उनके माता-पिताके लिए सौंप दिया ।। १७४ ॥ 'तुम भोगोपभोगकी योग्य वस्तुओंके द्वारा भगवान्‌की सेवा करो' इस प्रकार कुत्रेरके लिए संदेश देकर इन्द्र अपने स्थान पर चला गया ।। १७५ ।। यद्यपि विद्वान् लोग स्त्री-पर्यायको निन्द्य बतलाते हैं तथापि लोगों का कल्याण करनेवाले जगत्पति भगवान्‌को धारण करनेसे यह लक्ष्मणा बड़ी ही पुण्यवती है, बड़ी ही पवित्र है, इस प्रकार देव लोग उसकी स्तुति कर महान् फलको प्राप्त हुए थे तथा 'इस प्रकारकी स्त्री- पर्याय श्रेष्ठ है' ऐसा देवियोंने भी स्वीकृत किया था ।। १७६-१७७ ।।
भगवान् सुपार्श्वनाथ के मोक्ष जानेके बाद जब नौ सौ करोड़ सागरका अन्तर बीत चुका तब भगवान् चन्द्रप्रभ उत्पन्न हुए थे । उनकी आयु भी इसी अन्तर में सम्मिलित थी ।। १७८ ॥ दश लाख पूर्वकी उनकी आयु थी, एक सौ पचास धनुष ऊँचा शरीर था, द्वितीयाके चन्द्रमाकी तरह वे बढ़ रहे थे तथा समस्त संसार उनकी स्तुति करता था ॥ १७६ ॥ 'हे स्वामिन्! आप इधर आइये' इस प्रकार कुतूहलवश कोई देवी उन्हें बुलाती थी। वे उसके फैलाये हुए हाथों पर कमलोंके समान अपनी हथेलियाँ रख देते थे । उस समय कारणके बिना ही प्रकट हुई मन्द मुसकानसे उनका मुखकमल बहुत ही सुन्दर दिखता था । वे कभी मणिजटित पृथिवी पर लड़खड़ाते हुए पैर रखते थे ।। १८० - १८१ ॥ इस प्रकार उस अवस्थाके योग्य भोलीभाली शुद्ध चेष्टाओंसे बाल्यकालको बिताकर वे सुखाभिलाषी मनुष्योंके द्वारा चाहने योग्य कौमार अवस्थाको प्राप्त हुए ।। १८२ ॥ उस समय वहाँ के लोगोंमें कौतुकवश इस प्रकारकी बातचीत होती थी कि हम ऐसा समझते हैं कि विधाताने इनका शरीर अमृतसे ही बनाया है ।। १८३ ।। उनकी द्रव्य लेश्या अर्थात् शरीरकी कान्ति पूर्ण चन्द्रमाकी कान्तिको जीतकर ऐसी सुशोभित हो रही थी मानो बाह्य वस्तुओं को देखनेके लिए अधिक होने से भाव लेश्या ही बाहर निकल आई हो । भावार्थ- उनका शरीर शुक्ल था और भाव भी शुक्ल-उज्ज्वल थे ।। १८४ ।। उनके यश और लेश्या से ज्योतिषी देवोंकी कान्ति छिप गई

Thus, with innocent and pure actions, befitting that stage, he spent his childhood and attained the stage of youth, desired by those who seek happiness. || 182 ||

At that time, people there, out of curiosity, would say, "We believe that the Creator has made his body from nectar." || 183 ||

His "dravya leshya," the radiance of his body, shone so brightly, surpassing the radiance of the full moon, as if the "bhava leshya," the radiance of his emotions, had come out due to the abundance of external objects.
