चतुःसप्ततितम पर्व
ઉપપ दियं सर्वरसं भोज्यं रसनेन्द्रियतर्पणम् । स्पर्धमानमभुड्थाः प्राक्सुधामृतरसायनैः ॥ १७ ॥ धूपानलेपनर्माल्यैश्वर्णैर्वासैः सुगन्धिभिः । तोषितं सुचिरं तत्र त्वया घ्राणपुटद्वयम् ॥ १७८॥ रसभावसमाविष्ट विचित्रकरणोचितम् । नृशं निरीक्षित चित्रमङ्गनाभिः प्रयोजितम् ॥ १७९ ॥ शुद्धदेशजभेदं तत् षड्जादिस्वरसप्तकम् । चेतनेतरमिश्रोत्थं पूरितं कर्णयोद्धयोः ॥ १८ ॥ त्रिखण्डमण्डिते क्षेत्रे जातं सर्व ममैव तत् । इत्याभिमानिक सौख्यं मनसा चिरमन्वभूः ॥ १८१ ॥ एवं वैषयिक सौख्यमन्वभूयाप्यतृप्तवान् । श्रद्धापञ्चवतापेतः प्रविष्टोऽसि तमस्तमः ॥ १८२ ॥ भीमा वैतरणी तत्र प्रज्वलद्वारिपूरिताम् । प्रवेशितोऽसि पापिष्टः प्राक्शक्तया कृतसज्जनः ॥ १८३॥ ज्वलज्ज्वालाकरालो उत्थाखण्डगण्डोपलाचले। 'प्रधावितोऽसि तदृच्छिन्नच्छिमाखिलाङ्गकः ॥१८॥ कदम्बवालुकातापप्लष्टाष्टावयवोऽप्यभूः । प्रज्वलश्चितिकाक्षिप्तो भस्मसादावमागतः ॥ १८५ ॥ तप्तायस्पिण्डनिर्घातैश्चण्डैः सञ्चणितोऽप्यभूः । निस्त्रिंशच्छदसंछन्नवनेषु प्रान्तवान्मुहुः ॥ १८६ ॥ नानापक्षिमृगैः कालकौलेयककुलैरलम् । परस्पराभिघातेन ताडनेन च पीडितः ॥१७॥ बद्धो बहुविधैर्वन्धैनिष्ठुरं निष्ठुराशयैः । कर्णोष्ठनासिकादीनां छेदनैर्वाधितो भृशम् ॥ १४४ ॥ पापैः समानशूलानामारोपणमवापिथ । एवं बहुविधं दुःखमवशोऽनुभवंश्चिरम् ॥ १८९ ॥ प्रलापाक्रन्दरोदादिवानिरुखहरिद्वथा । शरणं प्रार्थयन्दैन्यादप्राप्यातीव दु:खितः॥ १९॥
किया है। तूने कोमल शय्यातलपर मनोभिलाषित स्त्रियोंके साथ चिरकाल तक मनचाहा सुख स्वच्छन्दता पूर्वक भोगा है। १७२-१७६ ।। रसना इन्द्रियको तृप्त करनेवाले, सब रसोंसे परिपूर्ण तथा अमृतरसायनके साथ स्पर्धा करनेवाले दिव्य भोजनका उपभोग तूने किया है ॥ १७७ ॥ उसी त्रिपृष्ठके भवमें तूने सुगन्धित धूपके अनुलेपनोंसे, मालाओंसे, चूर्णोसे तथा अन्य सुवासोंसे चिरकाल तक अपनी नाकके दोनों पुट संतुष्ट किये हैं। १७८ ॥ रस और भावसे युक्त, विविध करणोंसे संगत, स्त्रियोंके द्वारा किया हुआ अनेक प्रकारका नृत्य भी देखा है ॥ १७६ ।। इसी प्रकार जिसके शुद्ध तथा देशज भेद हैं, और जो चेतन-अचेतन एवं दोनोंसे उत्पन्न होते हैं ऐसे षड्ज आदि सात स्वर तूने अपने दोनों कानोंमें भरे हैं ॥ १८०॥ तीन खण्डसे सुशोभित क्षेत्रमें जो कुछ उत्पन्न हुआ है वह सब मेरा ही है इस अभिमानसे उत्पन्न हुए मानसिक सुखका भी तूने चिरकाल तक अनुभव किया है ।। १८१॥ इस प्रकार विषयसम्बन्धी सुख भोगकर
संतुष्ट नहीं हो सका और सम्यग्दर्शन तथा पाँच व्रतोंसे रहित होनेके कारण सप्तम नरकमें प्रविष्ट हुआ ॥ १८२॥ वहाँ खौलते हुए जलसे भरी वैतरणी नामक भयंकर नदीमें तुझे पापी नारकियोंने घुसाया और तुझे जबर्दस्ती स्नान करना पड़ा ।। १८३ ॥ कभी उन नारकियोंने तुझे जिसपर जलती हुई ज्वालाओंसे भयंकर उछल-उछलकर बड़ी-बड़ी गोल चट्टानें पड़ रही थीं ऐसे पर्वतपर दौड़ाया और तेरा समस्त शरीर टांकीसे छिन्न-भिन्न हो गया ॥ १८४ ॥ कभी भाड़की बालूकी गर्मीसे तेरे आठों अङ्ग जल जाते थे और कभी जलती हुई चितामें गिरा देनेसे तेरा समस्त शरीर जलकर राख हो जाता था ।। १८५ ।। अत्यन्त प्रचण्ड और तपाये हुए लोहेके धनोंकी चोटसे कभी तेरा चूर्ण किया जाता था तो कभी तलवार-जैसे पत्तोंसे आच्छादित बनमें बार-बार घुमाया जाता था॥ १८६॥ अनेक प्रकारके पक्षी वनपशु और कालके समान कुत्तोंके द्वारा तू दुःखी किया जाता था तथा परस्पर की मारकाट एवं ताडनाके द्वारा तुझे पीड़ित किया जाता था ।। १८७ ॥ दुष्ट आशयवाले नारकी तुझे बड़ी निर्दयताके साथ अनेक प्रकारके बन्धनोंसे बाँधते थे और कान ओठ तथा नाक आदि काटकर तुझे बहुत दुःखी करते थे ॥ १८८ ॥ पापी नारकी तुझे कभी अनेक प्रकारके तीक्ष्ण शूलोंपर चढ़ा देते थे। इस तरह तूने परवश होकर वहाँ चिरकाल तक बहुत प्रकारके दुःख भोगे ॥ १६ ॥ वहाँ तूने प्रलाप आक्रन्द तथा रोना आदिके शब्दोंसे व्यर्थ ही दिशाओंको व्याप्त कर बड़ी दीनतासे शरणकी

Sometimes, those hell-dwellers made you run on a mountain where large, round rocks were falling from the sky, with burning flames, and your entire body was torn apart by the rocks. 184. Sometimes, your eight limbs were burned by the heat of the sand of the furnace, and sometimes, your entire body was burned to ashes by being thrown into a burning pyre. 185. Sometimes, you were ground to powder by the blows of extremely hot, heated iron clubs, and sometimes, you were repeatedly spun around in a forest covered with sword-like leaves. 186. You were tormented by various birds, wild animals, and dogs like Yama, and you were also afflicted by their mutual fighting and beating. 187. The hell-dwellers, with wicked intentions, bound you with various types of bonds with great cruelty, and they cut your ears, lips, nose, etc., causing you great pain. 188. The sinful hell-dwellers sometimes impaled you on various sharp spikes. In this way, you experienced many kinds of suffering there for a long time, being helpless. 189. There, you filled the directions with the sounds of your cries, lamentations, and weeping, and, in great misery, you sought refuge in vain. 190.
