असंहतम'नासेव्यमथिभिर्वीतगौरवम् । शरदब्दकुलं तिष्ठत्युपर्येतन्ममेति वा ॥ ६०॥ सौधाग्रान्दोलितालोलपताकाबहुबाहुभिः । निराचिकीर्षुः संवर्षादूरमश्रपथोच्छूितम् ॥ ६ ॥ पराय॑भूरिरत्नत्वात्कृष्गतेजोविराजनात् । सदा गम्भीरशब्दत्वादम्भोधिजलसन्निभम् ॥ ६२॥ नवयोजनविस्तारं दैर्घ्यद्वादशयोजनम् । पुरं द्वारावती नाम यादवानां पयोनिधेः ॥ ६३ ॥ मध्ये प्रवर्तते तस्मादेतदनकदम्बकम् । लब्धमस्माभिरित्येवमब्रुवंस्तेऽपि भूपतिः ॥ ६४ ॥ श्रुत्वा तद्वचनं क्रोधेनान्धीभूतोग्रवीक्षणः । जरासन्धी घियाप्यन्धो दी दैवातिसन्धितः ॥ ६५ ॥ चचालाकालकालान्तचलितात्मबलाम्बुधिः । कतु यादवलोकस्य विलयं वाविलम्बितम् ॥ ६६ ॥ नारदस्तत्तदा ज्ञात्वा निर्हेतुसमरप्रियः । हरिं सत्वरमभ्येत्य तद्विकारं न्यवेदयत् ॥ ६७ ॥ श्रुत्वा शाङ्गंधरः शत्रुसमुत्थानमनाकुलम् । कुमार नेमिमभ्येत्य प्रशाधि त्वमिदं पुरः ॥ ६८॥ विजिगीषुः किलायाभूत्प्रत्यस्मान्मगधाधिपः । भनज्मि तमहं जीर्ण द्रुमं वा घुणभक्षितम् ॥ ६९ ॥ तूर्ण भवत्प्रभावेनगत्वेत्यवदर्जितम् । प्रसनचेतास्तच्छ्रुत्वा सस्मितो मधुरेक्षणः ॥ ७० ॥ सावधिविजयं तेन विनिश्चित्य विरोधिनाम् । स्फुरदन्तचिविष्णु नेमिरोमित्यभाषत ॥ ७१ ॥
स्मितायैः स्वं जयं सोऽपि निश्चिचाय जगत्प्रभोः । जैनो वादीव पक्षायैरेकलक्षणभूषणैः ॥ ७॥ कोई भी उसका विघात नहीं कर सकता है, वह याचकोंसे रहित है, यह उसके महलों पर बहुत-सी पताकाएँ फहराती रहती हैं जिससे ऐसा जान पड़ता है कि 'यह गौरव रहित शरद् ऋतुके बादलोंका समूह मेरे ऊपर रहता है। इस ईर्ष्याके कारण ही वह मानो महलोंके अग्रभाग पर फहराती हुई चञ्चल पताकाओं रूपी बहुत-सी भुजाओंसे आकाशमें ऊँचाई पर स्थित शरद् ऋतुके बादलोंको वहाँसे दूर हटा रही हो। वह नगरी ठीक समुद्रके जलके समान है क्योंकि जिस प्रकार समुद्रके जलमें बहुतसे रत्न रहते हैं उसी प्रकार उस नगरीमें भी बहुतसे रत्न विद्यमान हैं, जिस प्रकार समुद्रका जल कृष्ण तेज अर्थात् काले वर्णसे सुशोभित रहता है उसी प्रकार वह नगरी भी कृष्ण तेज अर्थात् वसुदेवके पुत्र श्री कृष्णके प्रतापसे सुशोभित है, और जिस प्रकार समुद्रके जलमें सदा गम्भीर शब्द होता रहता है उसी प्रकार उस नगरीमें भी सदा गम्भीर शब्द होता रहता है। वह नौ योजन चौड़ी तथा बारह योजन लम्बी है, समुद्रके बीचमें है तथा यादवोंकी नगरी कहलाती है। हम लोगोंने ये रत्न वहीं प्राप्त किये हैं। ऐसा वैश्य-पुत्रोंने कहा ॥ ५७-६४ ॥ जब दैवसे छले गये अहङ्कारी जरासन्धने वैश्य-पुत्रोंके उक्त वचन सुने तो वह क्रोधसे अन्धा हो गया, उसकी दृष्टि भयङ्कर हो गई, यही नहीं, बुद्धिसे भी अन्धा हो गया ॥६५॥ जिसकी सेना, असमयमें प्रकट हुए प्रलयकालके लहराते समुद्रके समान चञ्चल है ऐसा वह जरासन्ध यादव लोगोंका शीघ्र ही नाश करनेके लिए तत्काल चल पड़ा॥६६॥ बिना कारण ही युद्धसे प्रेम रखनेवाले नारदजीको जब इस बातका पता चला तो उन्होंने शीघ्र ही जाकर श्रीकृष्णसे जरासन्धके कोपका समाचार कह दिया ॥६७ ॥ 'शत्रु चढ़कर आ रहा है। यह समाचार सुनकर श्रीकृष्णको कुछ भी आकुलता नहीं हुई। उन्होंने नेमिकुमारके पास जाकर कहा कि आप इस नगरकी रक्षा कीजिए। सुना है कि मगधका राजा जरासन्ध हम लोगोंको जीतना चाहता है सो मैं उसे आपके प्रभावसे घुणके द्वारा खाये हुए जीर्ण वृक्षके समान शीघ्र ही नष्ट किये देता हूं। श्रीकृष्णके बीरता पूर्ण वचन सुनकर जिनका चित्त प्रसन्नतासे भर गया है जो कुछ-कुछ मुसकरा रहे हैं और जिनके नेत्र मधुरतासे ओत-प्रोत हैं ऐसे भगवान् नेमिनाथको अवधिज्ञान था अतः उन्होंने निश्चय कर लिया कि विरोधियोंके ऊपर हम लोगोंकी विजय निश्चित रहेगी। उन्होंने दाँतोंकी देदीप्यमान कान्तिको प्रकट करते हुए 'श्रोम्। शब्द कह दिया अर्थात् द्वारावतीका शासन स्वीकृत कर लिया। जिस प्रकार जैनवादी अन्यथानपपत्ति रूप लक्षणसे सुशोभित पक्ष आदिके द्वारा ही अपनी नयका निश्चय कर लेता है उसी प्रकार श्रीकृष्णने भी नेमिनाथ भगवान्की मुसकान आदिसे ही अपनी विजयका निश्चय कर लिया था।६८-७२॥

Hearing Shri Krishna's heroic words, Lord Neminath, whose mind was filled with joy, who was smiling slightly, and whose eyes were filled with sweetness, had the knowledge of the future, so he decided that our victory over the opponents would be certain. He revealed the brilliance of his teeth and said, 'Shrom.' That is, he accepted the rule of Dwaravati. Just as a Jain, by the means of the other-than-non-existence characteristic, decides his own opinion, so too did Shri Krishna decide his own victory by the smile of Lord Neminath. || 68-72 ||
