१. सम्पादनसामग्री उत्तरपुराणका सम्पादन निम्नलिखित सात प्रतियोंके आधारपर हुआ है 'क' प्रति यह प्रति भांडारकर रिसर्च इंस्टीटयूट पूनासे प्राप्त हुई है। पत्रसंख्या ३१८, लम्बाई-चौड़ाई १२४५ इंच । प्रति पत्र में ११ पंक्तियाँ और प्रति पंक्ति में ३४ से प्रति अत्यन्त जीर्ण हो चुकी है। कागज जर्जर है, हाथ चुका है । दशा देखनेसे अत्यन्त प्राचीन मालूम होती है हैं। अन्तमें लेखन-काल नहीं दिया गया है। इस प्रतिके

३६ तक अक्षर हैं । प्रारम्भसे २८१ पत्र तक । लगाते ही टूटता है, रंग भी परिवर्तित हो २८२ से अन्ततक पुनः पत्र लिखाकर जोड़े गये चारों ओर संस्कृत में सूक्ष्म अक्षरों द्वारा टिप्पण भी दिये गये है। किन्हीं किन्हीं लोकों में अन्वयके क्रमाङ्क भी दिये गये हैं। लेखन प्रायः शुद्ध और सुवाच्य है। काली स्याहीसे लिखी गई है और श्लोका लाल स्याहीसे दिये गये हैं। इसका सांकेतिक नाम 'क' है । इसमें १६६ वाँ पृष्ठ नहीं है और १८५ से २५० तक पत्र नहीं हैं ।
'ख' प्रति
यह प्रति जैन सिद्धान्त भवन आरासे पं० नेमिचन्द्रजी ज्योतिषाचार्य के सौहार्दसे प्राप्त हुई है । इसकी कुल पत्र संख्या ३०९ है । पत्रोंका परिमाण १२x६ इच है । प्रति पत्रमें १२-१३ पंक्तियाँ और प्रति पंक्ति में ३५ से ३८ तक अक्षर हैं । अन्तमें लेखन-काल १८१५ संवत् दिया हुआ है । मार्गशीर्ष कृष्ण दशमीको इसकी प्रतिलिपि पूर्ण हुई है। दशा अच्छी है, लिपि सुवाच्य है, शुद्ध भी है, इसका सांकेतिक नाम 'ख' है । इसमें ग्रन्थकर्ताकी प्रशस्ति नहीं है ।

'ग' प्रति
यह प्रति भाण्डारकर रिसर्च इंस्टीटयूट पूनासे प्राप्त है। कुल पृष्ठसंख्या ४१२ है, पत्रका परिमाण १० x ५ इञ्च है । प्रति पत्रमें ९ पंक्तियाँ और प्रति पंक्ति में ३० से ३३ तक अक्षर हैं। लिपि शुद्ध तथा सुवाच्य है, अन्तमें लेखन-काल १५५७ वर्ष आषाढ़ कृष्ण ८ शुक्रवार दिया हुआ है । काली स्वाहांसे लिखित है, कागज जीर्ण हो चुका है, रक्त भी मटमैला हो गया है, बीच-बीचमें कितने ही स्थलों पर टिप्पण भी दिये गये हैं। दशा जर्जर होनेपर भी अच्छी है। इसका सांकेतिक नाम 'ग' है। 'घ' प्रति

'ल' प्रति
यह प्रति श्रीमान् पण्डित लालारामजी शास्त्री द्वारा सम्पादित तथा अनूदित है । ऊपर सूक्ष्म अक्षरों में मूल लोक तथा नीचे कुछ स्थूलाक्षरों में हिन्दी अनुवाद दिया गया है। इसका प्रकाशन स्वयं उक्त शास्त्रीजी द्वारा हुआ है । इसमें मूलपाठ कितनी ही जगह परम्परासे अशुद्ध हो गया है, अब यह अप्राप्य है । इसका सांकेतिक नाम 'ल' है ।
'म' प्रति
