Mahapuraanam
Ravi Prabha, pleased with their greatness, approached them in amazement. || 271 ||
Having narrated his own story, he asked the young men for forgiveness. He worshipped them with great jewels and went to the heavenly world. || 272 ||
Thus, after spending a long time in joy with his beloved, he returned to the city and experienced the essence of happiness. || 273 ||
Then, one day, Jayakumar, who had attained enlightenment, went to the Tirtha-Adinatha, the Lord of the Clouds, and worshipped him, the object of joy. || 274 ||
Having asked questions about Dharma, and having heard the appropriate answers from him, he discussed the Aakshepini and other stories, the bondage and the rise of karma, etc. || 275 ||
Having attained liberation from karma, and having obtained the essence of peace, Jayakumar, the beloved of the world, the son of Shivaṅkara Mahadevi, || 276 ||
Anantavirya, known for his infinite valor, a master of weapons and scriptures, whose fame spread from his childhood, whose bravery extended to the conquest of his enemies, whose charity satisfied all beggars, and whose truth never wavered even in dreams, || 277 ||
performed the coronation of Anantavirya and gave him all his wealth. || 278 ||
Jayakumar, who was eager to attain the supreme state, who had renounced his entire family, who had subdued his senses, who had overcome the great delusion, and who had accumulated good deeds, || 279 ||
along with his younger brothers, who were determined to renounce possessions, who were free from attachment and aversion, and who were named Ravi-kirti, Ravi-jaya, Ari-ndama, Ari-njaya, Su-jaya, Su-kanta, the seventh Ajita-njaya, Maha-jaya, Ati-virya, Vara-njaya, Ravi-virya, and other sons of the Chakravartis who had attained renunciation, || 280 ||
received initiation. || 283 ||
