Mahapuraanam
Leaving the Kumar, she approached the vile Vidyadhara. "Fight and conquer," she said to Sukhavati, "be fearless." || 151 ||
She too, leaving the Kumar, engaged in battle with Dhoomavega. For a long time, she fought him with her own powers, the valiant Sukhavati. || 152 ||
The Kumar, slowly, reached a nearby rock, a support of the earth. There, his mother from a previous life, Devasri, who had become a Yakshi, arrived. || 153 ||
She touched him with her hand, removing his fatigue, and said, "Kumar, enter the lake." || 154 ||
Hearing this, he believed her words and entered the lake. He spent the night on top of a stone pillar. || 155 ||
Performing the five prostrations, he rose at dawn. He saw the image of the Jinenadra in the northern part of the lake. || 156 ||
He offered flowers and performed prostrations. He saw the thousand-petaled lotus as a Chakra Ratna, the tortoise as a Chatra Ratna, the king of snakes with a thousand hoods as a Danda Ratna, the frog as a Chudaamani, the crocodile as a Charma Ratna, and the glowing red scorpion as a Kakini Mani. || 157-158 ||
With a pure heart, he saw all this, as instructed by the Yakshi. || 159 ||
Then, with a joyful heart, he held an umbrella, took a staff, and wore shoes adorned with shining jewels, all given by the Yakshi. || 160 ||
Adorned with divine ornaments made of all jewels, he emerged from the cave, just as the first day of the bright fortnight arrives for the growth of the moon. || 161 ||
Having defeated Dhoomavega, the clever Sukhavati, armed with a sword, arrived for the growth of the Kumar. || 162 ||
Going with her, he reached the fragrant mountain, the assembly of Gunapala Jina. || 163 ||
There, he praised him for a long time, with purity of mind, speech, and body. He saw his mother and brother, and treated them with due respect. || 164 ||
