महापुराणम्
इत्याह तद्वचः श्रुत्वा प्रमुद्येत्य खगाचले । पुरं दक्षिणभागस्थं गजादि तत्समीपगम् ॥ १२८ ॥ कञ्चिद् गजपति स्तम्भमुन्मूल्यारूढदर्पकम् । द्वात्रिंशदुक्त क्रीडाभिः क्रीडित्वा वशमानयत् ॥ १२६ ॥ ततः समुदिते' चण्डदीधितौ' निर्जिताद् गजात् । कुमारागमनं पौरा बुद्ध्वा संतुष्टचेतसः ॥ १३० ॥ 'प्रतिकेतन मुद्बद्धचलत् केतुपताककाः । 'प्रत्युद्गममकुवंस्ते 'तत्पुण्योदय चोदिताः ॥ १३१॥ ततो नभस्यऽसौ गच्छन् कञ्चिद्वयपुरे हयम् । स्थितं प्रदक्षिणीकृत्य त्वं पश्यन्नात्तविस्मयः ॥१३२॥ तत्रापि विदितादेश नगरैः प्राप्तपूजनः । पुनस्ततोऽपि निष्क्रम्य समागच्छनिजेच्छ्या ॥ १३३॥ २० चतुर्जनपदाभ्यन्तरस्थसीममहाचले " । जने महति सम्भूयर स्थिते केनापि हेतुना ॥ १३४॥ कस्यचित् कोशतः खड्गं कस्मिंश्चिदपि यत्नतः । सत्यशक्ते समु खातं तं " समुद्गीर्य " हेलया ॥१३५॥ कुमारः प्रा" हरद् वंशस्तम्बं सम्भूत" वंशकम् । तदालोक्य जनः सर्वः प्रमोदादारवं " व्यधात् ॥१३६॥ तत्र कश्चित् समागत्य मूकः समुपविष्टवान् । प्रप्रणम्य कुमारं तं जयशब्दपुरस्सरम् ॥१३७॥ २० कुण्डश्च कश्चिदङ्गुल्या प्रसारितकराङ्गुलिः । श्रञ्जलि मुकुलीकृत्य समीपे समुपस्थितः ॥ १३८ ॥ यो वज्रमणिपाकाय समुद्युक्तस्तदा मुदा । तेषां पाके व्यलोकिष्ट कुमारं विनयेन सः ॥१३६॥
रही हूं" ॥१२५ - १२७ ॥ उसके यह वचन सुनकर श्रीपाल बहुत ही हर्षित हुआ और वहांसे आगे चलकर विजयार्ध पर्वतके दक्षिण भाग में स्थित गजपुर नगरके समीप जा पहुंचा ॥ १२८॥ वहां कोई एक गजराज खंभा उखाड़कर मदोन्मत्त हो रहा था । उसे कुमारने शास्त्रोक्त बत्तीस क्रीड़ाओंसे कीड़ा कराकर वश किया ॥ १२९ ॥ तदनन्तर सूर्योदय होते होते नगरके सब लोगों ने गजराजको जीत लेनेसे कुमारका आना जान लिया, सबने संतुष्ट चित्त होकर घर घर चञ्चल पताकाएं फहराई और कुमारके पुण्योदयसे प्रेरित होकर सब लोगोंने उसकी अगवानी की ॥१३०-१३१॥ कुमार वहांसे भी आकाशमें चला, चलता चलता हयपुर नगरमें पहुंचा वहां एक घोड़ा कुमारकी प्रदक्षिणा देकर समीपही में खड़ा हो गया, कुमारने यह सब स्वयं देखा परन्तु उसे कुछ भी आश्चर्य नहीं हुआ ।। १३२ || जब नगरनिवासियोंको इस बातका पता चला तब सबने कुमारका सत्कार किया, कुमार वहांसे भी निकल कर अपनी इच्छानुसार आगे चला ।।१३३॥ चलता चलता चार देशोंके बीचमें स्थित सुसीमा नामक पर्वतपर पहुंचा । वहां किसी कारण बहुतसे लोग इकट्ठे हो रहे थे, वे प्रयत्नकर म्यानसे तलवार निकाल रहे थे परन्तु उनमें से कोई भी उक्त कार्यके लिये समर्थ नहीं हो सका परन्तु कुमारने उसे लीलामात्र में निकाल दिया जिसमें बहुतसे बांस उलझे हुए खड़े थे ऐसे बांसके विड़ेपर उसे चलाया यह देखकर सब लोगोंने बड़े हर्षसे कुमारका आदर सत्कार किया ।। १३४ - १३६ ॥ इतनेमें ही वहां एक गूँगा मनुष्य आया और जय जय शब्दका उच्चारण करता हुआ कुमारको प्रणाम कर बैठ गया ॥१३७॥ वहीं पर एक टेढ़ी अंगुलीका मनुष्य आया, कुमारको देखते ही उसकी अंगुली ठीक हो गई, उसने हाथकी अंगुली फैलाकर हाथ जोड़े और नमस्कार कर पास ही खड़ा हो गया ।। १३८। वहींपर एक मनुष्य हीराओंकी भस्म बना रहा था, वह बनती नहीं थी परन्तु कुमारके सन्निधानसे वह बन गई इसलिये उसने भी बड़ी विनयसे कुमारके दर्शन किये

The Kumar, playing with him with the thirty-two games prescribed in the scriptures, brought him under control. || 129 || Then, as the sun rose, the people of the city, knowing of the Kumar's arrival after conquering the elephant, were pleased and, with contented minds, hoisted fluttering flags on their houses and, inspired by the auspicious rise of the Kumar, went out to welcome him. || 130-131 || The Kumar, proceeding from there, went through the sky and reached Hayapur city. There, a horse stood near him, circumambulating the Kumar. The Kumar saw all this himself, but was not surprised at all. || 132 || When the city dwellers learned of this, they all honored the Kumar. The Kumar, proceeding from there, went on further according to his own will. || 133 || Proceeding, he reached the great mountain called Suseema, situated in the midst of the four countries. There, for some reason, many people were gathered. They were trying to draw swords from their sheaths, but none of them were able to do so. But the Kumar, with ease, drew it out, and, with it, he struck a clump of bamboo, which was standing there entangled. Seeing this, all the people, with great joy, honored and respected the Kumar. || 134-136 || At that time, a mute man came there and, uttering the words "Victory, Victory," bowed down to the Kumar and sat down. || 137 || There, a man with a crooked finger came. As soon as he saw the Kumar, his finger became straight. He stretched out the finger of his hand, folded his hands, and stood near, offering salutations. || 138 || There, a man was making a concoction of diamond dust, but it was not being made. But, due to the presence of the Kumar, it was made. Therefore, he also, with great humility, saw the Kumar.
