जगाद साऽपि मामेष' प्रायादेशवशादिति । 'कम्बलावाप्तितस्तद्वन्तं समाध्याय विह्वलाम् ॥७७॥ एतां तस्याः सखी श्रुत्वा समन्वेष्ट समागता । काञ्चनाख्यपुरान्नाम्ना मदनादिवती तदा ॥७८॥ दृष्ट्वा तत्कम्बलस्यान्ते निबद्धां रत्नमुद्रिकाम् । तत्र श्रीपालनामाक्षराणि चादेशसंस्मृतेः ॥७६॥ 'काय सायकोद्भिन्नहृदयाऽभूदहं ततः । कथं वंद्याधरं लोकमिमं श्रीपालनामभूत् ॥ ८०॥ समागतः स इत्येतनिश्चेत् पुण्डरीकिणीम । उपगत्य जिनागारे वन्दित्वा समुपस्थिता ॥ ८१ ॥ त्वत्प्रवासकथां" सर्वां तव मातुः प्रजल्पनात् । विदित्वा विस्तरेण त्वाम् आनेष्यामीति निश्चयात् ॥८२॥ आगच्छन्ती भवद्वार्ता विद्युद्वेगामुखोद्गताम् । श्रवगत्य त्वया सार्द्धं योजयिष्यामि ते प्रियम् ॥८३॥ न विषादो विधातव्य इत्याश्वास्य भवत्प्रियाम् । विनिर्गत्य ततोऽभ्येत्य सिद्धकूट जिनालयम् ॥ ८४ ॥ अभिवन्द्यागताऽस्म्ये हि मयाऽमा पुण्डरीकिणीम् । मातरं भ्रातरं चान्यांस्त्वद्वधूश्च समीक्षितुम् ॥ ८५ ॥ यदीच्छास्ति तवेत्याह सा तच्छू त्वा" पुनः कुतः । त्वमेव जरती जातेत्यब्रवीत् स" सुखावतीम् ॥८६॥ कुमारवचनाकर्णनेन" वार्द्धक्यमागतम् । भवतश्च न किं वेत्सीत्यपहस्य तयोदितम् ॥८७॥ जराभिभूतमालोक्य स्वशरीरमिदं त्वया । कृतमेवंविधं केन हेतुनेत्यनुयुक्तवान् ॥८८॥
तच्छ्रुत्वा साऽब्रवीदेवं पिप्पले त्याख्ययोदिता । मदनादिवती या च मैथुनौ विश्रुतौ तयोः ॥८॥ बलवान् धूमवेगाख्यस्तादृग्ध रिवरोऽपि च । तद्भयात्वां" तिरोधाय पुरं प्रापयितुं मया ॥६०॥ मायारूपद्वयं विद्याप्रभावात् प्रकटीकृतम् । कुमार, मत्करस्थामृतास्वाद फलभक्षणात् ॥१॥
समय कांचनपुर नगरसे आई । उसने वह कम्बल देखा, कम्बलके छोरमें बंधी हुई रत्नोंकी अंगूठी और उसपर खुदे हुए श्रीपालके नामाक्षर देखकर मुझे अपने गुरुकी आज्ञाका स्मरण हो आया, उसी समय मेरा हृदय कामदेवके बाणोंसे भिन्न हो गया, मैं सोचने लगी कि श्रीपाल नामको धारण करनेवाला यह भूमिगोचरी विद्याधरोंके इस लोकमें कैसे आया ? इसी बातका निश्चय करनेके लिये में पुण्डरीकिणी पुरी पहुंची, वहां जिनालयमें भगवान्‌की वन्दनाकर बैठी ही थी कि इतने में वहां आपकी माता आ पहुंची, उनके कहनेसे मैंने विस्तारपूर्वक आपके प्रवासकी कथा मालूम की और निश्चय किया कि मैं आपको अवश्य ही ढूंढकर लाऊंगी । उसी निश्चयके अनुसार मैं आ रही थी, रास्ते में विद्युद्वेगाके मुखसे आपका सब समाचार जानकर मैंने उससे कहा कि 'तू अभी विवाह मत कर मैं तेरे इष्टपतिको तुझसे अवश्य मिला दूंगी' इस प्रकार आपकी भावी प्रियाको विश्वास दिलाकर वहांसे निकली और सिद्धकूट चैत्यालयमें पहुंची। वहांकी वन्दना कर आई हूं, यदि माता भाई तथा अन्य बन्धुओंको देखनेकी तुम्हारी इच्छा हो तो मेरे साथ पुण्डरीकिणी पुरीको चलो, यह सब सुनकर मैंने सुखावतीसे फिर कहा कि अच्छा, यह बतला तू इतनी बूढ़ी क्यों हो गई है ? कुमारके वचन सुनकर उस बुढ़ियाने हँसते हँसते कहा कि क्या आप अपने शरीरमें आये हुए बुढ़ापेको नहीं जानते -- आप भी तो बूढ़े हो रहे हैं । कुमारने अपने शरीरको बूढ़ा देखकर उससे पूछा कि तूने मेरा शरीर इस प्रकार बूढ़ा क्यों कर दिया है ।' कुमारकी यह बात सुनकर वह इस तरह कहने लगी कि जिनका कथन पहले कर आई हूं ऐसी पिप्पला और मदनवती नामकी दो कन्याएं हैं, उन्हें दो प्रसिद्ध
