The Sixty-fourth Chapter
Having performed austerities, they attained the state of Lokapala at the end of their lives. The couple, Sukant and Rativega, also obtained great merit by approving of the donation. ||126||
"Then, the queen Vasumati, the wife of the king, remembered her past life and became unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she said to Amitmati Aryika, "I was Devashri, the queen of king Prajapala of Shobhanagar in my previous life. By your grace, I obtained this Lakshmi. Where is my husband, king Prajapala from that life? Tell me." ||127-128||
Upon hearing this question from Vasumati, Amitmati Aryika said, "This Lokapala is the king Prajapala from your previous life." As soon as she said this, Priyadatta also remembered her past life. She bowed to Aryika and said, "I am Atvishri, the wife of Shaktishen. Tell me, where is my husband Shaktishen now?" ||129||
When asked this, Amitmati said, "This is your husband, Kuberakant, who was Shaktishen in that life. And this Kuberadayit is your son, who was Satydev in that life." ||130-131||
"The four ministers, including Seth Merukadat, have attained the state of Devas and are serving your husband from the time of his birth, like a Kamadhenu and Kalpavriksha, out of affection." ||132||
"Satyak, the father of Kuberadayit in his previous life, is also a Deva and protects him. It is natural, because beings in other realms also develop affection due to the influence of merit." ||133||
"The couple, Rativega and Sukant, were burnt by Bhavadev in their previous life. Therefore, they have become these pigeons." ||134||
