महापुराणम्
विना चक्राद् विना रत्नैर्भोग्येयं श्रीस्त्वया तदा । जयात्ते' मानुषी' सिद्धिर्देवी पुण्योदयाद्यथा ॥४४॥ तृणकल्पोऽपि संवाह्यस्तव नीतिरियं कथम् । नाथेन्दुवंशावुच्छेद्यौ लक्ष्म्याः साक्षाद्भुजायितौ ॥४५॥ बन्धुभूत्यक्षयाद्भूयस्तुभ्यं चत्र्यपि कुप्यति । श्रधर्मश्चायुगस्थायी त्वया स्यात् सम्प्रवर्तितम् ॥४६॥ परदाराभिलाषस्य प्राथम्यं' मा वृथा कृथाः । श्रवश्यमाहृताप्येषा न कन्या ते भविष्यति ॥४७॥ सप्रतापं यशः स्थास्नु जयस्य स्यादहर्यथा । तव रात्रिरिवाकीतिः स्थायिन्यत्र मलीमसा ॥४८॥ सर्वमेतन्ममैवेति मा संस्था साधनं युधः । बहवोऽप्यत्र भूपालाः सन्ति तत्पक्षपातिनः ॥४६॥ पुरुषार्थत्रयं पुम्भिर्दुष्प्रापं तत्त्वयाऽजितम् । न्यायमागं समुल्लङ्घ्य वृथा तत्कि विनाशयेः ॥ ५० ॥ श्रकम्पनस्य सेनेशो जयः प्रागिव चक्रिणः । वोरलक्ष्यास्तुलारोहं मुधा त्वं किं विधास्यसि ॥ ५१ ॥ नन न्यायेन बन्धोस्ते' बन्धुपुत्री समर्पिता । उत्सवे का पराभूतिरक्षमात्र पराभवः ॥ ५२ ॥ कन्यारत्नानि सन्त्येव बहून्यन्यानि भूभुजाम् । इह तानि सरत्नानि सर्वाण्यद्यान" यामि ते ॥ ५३ ॥ इति नीतिलतावृद्विविधाय्यपि वचः पयः । सव्यघात् तच्चेतसः क्षोभं तप्ततैलस्य वा भृशम् ॥५४॥
को जानकर उसका भी सन्मान करना चाहिये फिर भला जिसका पराक्रम देखा जा चुका है और जिसने अत्यन्त असाध्य कार्यको भी सिद्ध कर दिया है उसकी तो बात ही क्या है ? ||४३|| आगे चलकर जिस समय बिना चक्र और बिना रत्नोंके यह लक्ष्मी तुम्हारे उपभोग करने योग्य होगी उस समय तुम्हारी देवी सिद्धि जिस प्रकार पुण्य कर्मके उदयसे होगी उसी प्रकार तुम्हारी मानुषी अर्थात् मनुष्योंसे होनेवाली सिद्धि जयकुमारसे ही होगी || ४४ || जब कि तृणके समान तुच्छ पुरुषकी भी रक्षा करनी चाहिये यह आपकी नीति है तब राज्य लक्ष्मी के साक्षात् भुजाओं के समान आचरण करनेवाले नाथ वंश और सोम वंश उच्छेद करने योग्य कैसे हो सकते हैं ? ॥४५॥ इन भाइयोंके समान सेवकोंका नाश करनेसे चक्रवर्ती भी तुमपर अधिक क्रोध करेंगे और युग के अन्ततक टिकनेवाला यह अधर्म भी तुम्हारे द्वारा चलाया हुआ समझा जायगा ॥४६॥ तुम्हें व्यर्थ ही परस्त्रीकी अभिलाषाका प्रारम्भ नहीं करना चाहिये क्योंकि यह निश्चय है, यह कन्या जबरदस्ती हरी जाकर भी तुम्हारी नहीं होगी ॥४७॥ जयकुमारका प्रताप सहित यश दिनके समान सदा विद्यमान रहेगा और तुम्हारी मलिन अकीर्ति रात्रिके समान सदा विद्य मान रहेगी ||४८ || ये सब राजा लोग युद्ध में मेरी सहायता करेंगे ऐसा मत समझिये क्योंकि इनमें भी बहुतसे राजा लोग उनके पक्षपाती हैं ||४९ || जो धर्म अर्थ और कामरूप तीन पुरुषार्थ पुरुषोंको अत्यन्त दुर्लभ हैं वे तुझे प्राप्त हो गये हैं इसलिये अब न्याय मार्गका उल्लंघन कर उन्हें व्यर्थ ही क्यों नष्ट कर रहें हो ॥५०॥ यह जयकुमार जिस प्रकार पहले चक्रवर्तीका सेनापति बना था उसी प्रकार अब अकम्पनका सेनापति बना है तुम व्यर्थ ही वीरलक्ष्मीको तुलापर आरूढ क्यों कर रहे हो । भावार्थ- वीरलक्ष्मीको संशयमें क्यों डाल रहे हो ॥५१॥ निश्चय से तेरे एक भाईकी पुत्री तेरे दूसरे भाईके लिये न्यायपूर्वक समर्पण की गई है, ऐसे उत्सवमें तुम्हारा क्या तिरस्कार हुआ ? हां, तुम्हारी असहनशीलता ही तिरस्कार हो सकती ? भावार्थ - हितकारी होनेसे जिस प्रकार जयकुमार तुम्हारा भाई है उसी प्रकार अकंपन भी तुम्हारा भाई है । एक भाईकी पुत्री दूसरे भाईके लिये न्यायपूर्वक दी गई है इसमें तुम्हारा क्या अपमान हुआ ? हां, यदि तुम इस बातको सहन नहीं कर सकते हो तो यह तुम्हारा अपमान हो सकता है ॥५२॥ सुलोचनाके सिवाय राजाओंके और भी तो बहुतसे कन्यारत्न हैं, रत्नालंकार सहित उन सभी कन्याओंको मैं आज तुम्हारे लिये यहां ला देता हूँ ||५३ || इस प्रकार

When, in the future, this Lakshmi will be fit for your enjoyment without a chakra and without jewels, then your Devi Siddhi will be from Jayakumar, just as your human Siddhi will be from the rise of virtuous deeds. ||44||
How can the Nath dynasty and the Soma dynasty, who are like the very arms of the goddess of fortune, be worthy of destruction, when even a man as insignificant as a blade of grass should be protected? This is your policy. ||45||
By destroying these brothers, who are like your servants, even the Chakravarti will be more angry with you, and this unrighteousness, which will last until the end of the age, will be considered to have been instigated by you. ||46||
Do not start the desire for another's wife in vain, for it is certain that this girl, even if forcibly taken, will not be yours. ||47||
The fame of Jayakumar, along with his prowess, will always be like the day, and your tainted infamy will always be like the night. ||48||
Do not think that all these kings will help you in battle, for there are many kings who are partial to them. ||49||
You have attained the three Purusharthas, Dharma, Artha, and Kama, which are very difficult for men to obtain, so why are you destroying them in vain by violating the path of righteousness? ||50||
Just as Jayakumar was the commander of the Chakravarti before, so now he is the commander of Akampan. Why are you putting Veerlakshmi on the scales in vain? Meaning: Why are you putting Veerlakshmi in doubt? ||51||
Certainly, the daughter of one of your brothers has been given to your other brother in a righteous manner. What disgrace have you suffered in such a festival? Yes, your intolerance is the only disgrace. Meaning: Just as Jayakumar is your brother because he is beneficial, so is Akampan your brother. The daughter of one brother has been given to another brother in a righteous manner. What insult have you suffered in this? Yes, if you cannot tolerate this, then it is your insult. ||52||
Besides Sulochana, there are many other daughters of kings. I will bring all those daughters, adorned with jewels, here for you today. ||53||
